I'm sure you'll have a lot of encouraging (and true) comments about how we're always evolving and we're never who we used to be, but I also want to add that it's OKAY to mourn who you were. Especially after years of COVID and how it's changed us (literally, it's affected our brain chemistry!), looking back at who we were in the Before Times and missing that person is totally okay. We can't turn ourselves back into who we were, but we can try to take back the bits of us we liked best.

While I do not always take my own advice, I would say do not regret or envy the past, just take away as much knowledge as you can. I love the quote from the 1990 movie Back To The Future (part 3) when Doc says, “It means your future hasn’t been written yet. No one’s has! Your future is whatever you make it. So make it a good one!” I know that is quite simplistic, but why not believe even if just for a few moments? Consider it a "mind vacation".

Well. I can clear up a few things. Wisconsin is flat and cold and does in fact have trees that can look silver/green/grey. Lots of water/flooding is further south. West Virginia has hills. Mountains, some would say. Lol

Medication and diagnosis’s isn’t always great.. and it can time years to find a right dose of meds. You may never be who you used to be. And that’s okay. And it’s okay to grieve the loss of who you were.

***Hey Alex, Tasmanian here…you can walk over the Tasman Bridge, it has a walking and bike track, that will take you near the water, then over the bridge, people use it all the time, so yes would be great for photos 😉 It is true about no jobs for Engineers over here…I have 4 different engineer friends (graduated in all different years), and none of them could get work in their field down here, they all had to move to the mainland to get a job…it’s not that there is a shortage in engineers down here, the problem is that there is a shortage of jobs available. Maybe if Dan didn’t mind travel, you both could live here, have your other house in Sydney to, and he could just fly in and out, according to his work roster? 😊 Hope it all works out, would be great to have you both living down here💗😊***
