I can't imagine why 114 people gave this a dislike. I was stationed on the Gulf Coast for 2 years and had a really good friend who was a Cajun. If you feel down, just listen to this music. You can't help tapping your toes at the very least.

Since posting my last (years-ago) comment, I came upon a discarded in the dumpster, Cajun themed quilt. I took this on as a restoration textile project. Now it hangs in my bedroom in a place of honor. What a privilege - I was able to use all the needlework skills of a lifetime (I am 76 now), to bring back such a beautiful piece of Cajun history...my dream will be someday to find the family it actually belongs to. And the descendants of the woman who made it!!

N Burns Do you remember Deaf Heights Cajun Aces the Scottish Cajun band in the late 80's? If not, well worth a listen. The CD Les Flames D'Enfer is still available I believe. Let's not forget Swamptrash and the the Critter Hill Varmints from the same era for the Scottish Bluegrass scene - well worth a listen.

I'm also Scottish and I love cajun and zydeco music! It beats the hocherin and hollerin any day of the week tho the cajun button accordion is in a class act of its own aka the melodeon of button box! The creole folks play all manner of accordions including the button box but officially its a cajun instrument Louisiana is on of the very few places in the south were folks all get along and share there music colour don't matter not saying it was always that way!!.
