Happy Cooler Days Cajun Family!! Was a little nippie this morning at temperature of 56 and now temps at 74 , definitely a change from Monday. Lydia I'm betting your be feeling like back home temps of summer. Liking the stripes on ceiling, kinda like cabiny look, instead of walls be on the ceiling. 😀 I think I said that right 😃. Great to seeing y'all again on KZbin!! Kinda getting to miss seeing y'all on the two day events. Well youngs until next time Cajun Country Family 👨👨👦🤴👸🌟💖💙💛💖

Yeah agreed on using the lift to get that up and in place. If you don’t have a lift you can use a dead leg which is a 2x4 with a T at the top which is cut to ceiling length. Really helps when shorthanded. Great video guys 👌

As a born and breed southeast Texas girl who knows about the weather you guys are enduring come to Northwest Coast,Tasmania, Australia…. It is always a fairly even climate we are in spring and still having some cool days! It’s noon here and 14° C ( to get in the ball park without too much math…. Double temp 14 and add 30 for F and you are about 60°F) and sun shining beautifully. Lovely beaches and beautiful walking 🚶♀️ / Cycling 🚴 footpaths along the states coast.😊❤ by the way my mom was a Louisana girl and 3 Aunties and 1 uncle stayed in Louisana and one has gone back to Louisana and one auntie in Texas. 😊❤

I like the thicker trim boards allot. That looks way better than if you used thinner trim that blended more with the other boards. Gives it dimension and will look even cooler painted. Heck you could paint the boards a different color. A little more work though. That's kind of common in this area (especially the older homes) and I've seen some folks run boards in between each of those trim boards to make it look like squares (if that makes sense). Seeing Jim use the Dremel reminded me that I have one and I need to use it more. 🙂 Sometimes I forget what tools I have.

Good choice on using the 3/4" material for battens and trim pieces. I agree with Jim that it added the dimentional look he was after. Your work on the porch is turning out very nicely. Lydia, your comment about the work comment being dictated by a toddler is so true. She is so darned cute and looking more like you every time I see her. I imagine she had a good time at Home Depot with all the Halloween stuff out on display 😉 You two work so very well together get things done.
