Hi there! So it's basically tasteless - you need to flavour jelly for it to have some kind of distinct taste. You can add whatever flavourings you like to it :)

Hi there! Nope I don't - the jelly sits directly on the cake board (you would need to make sure you're using a waterproof cake board) :)

Hi there! You can add flavouring to your jelly but I don't think the packet one from the shops will be strong enough to hold up a shape like this :)

Thank you so much :D And yess good question! I actually wanted to do this too but didn't have the right gelatine on hand. So it's best to use gelatine sheets as opposed to powdered gelatine and they will give you a clear jelly :)

Does the jelly stay stuck to the cake? I've used it in between layers before (with BC under & above) but the layers just slip off! Just concerned that if I do a whole cake, the outside jelly will detatch itself from the cake when sliced.

Hi there! :D Because of the gelatine content in the jelly, it's super stable! It should stable for as long as you need, just don't leave it in direct sunlight and be a little more careful in super hot weather :)

Can we do this with whipping cream also? In India we use more of whipping cream and buttercream isn't very common.

Hi Shubnam! Hmmm I think whipping cream will probably be too soft for something like this, but you could try with a stabilised whipped cream and pour the jelly in really really slowly! :)

It's one of the most stable buttercreams. It does become soft at room temp but holds it's shape very well :)

Hi there! I assume veg gelatine would just be the same quantity as in the recipe, however with agar agar you will need to use less as it is stronger. You can find a quantity converter online to see the amount you will need :)
