4:30 - it's not plastic, it's solid CNCed anodized aluminum with two-step processing (also the bottom lines are anodized too) 5:03 - The thickness of the shrouds on OK is the same as on in-game model 6:20 - I made the button in such a way that it cannot be accidentally pressed during the action. And you should tighten this button section to avoid any rattling, I specifically made a left-hand thread on the outer part of the button 7:28 - OK was designed using in-game 3D-model from the 1st game (plus renders of the original 3D-model that is not publicly available) as a reference for scaling of the top half of the saber and the grip was based on earlier poster of the 2nd game (and also on trailer shots) - the shape, the length etc. In the game they changed the length of the black handle a little bit due to customization options but I decided to keep the length as I did at the beginning. But also I researched the in-game 3D-model (extracted from the game files, not just using photo mode) and the top of the saber is the same as in the 1st game, including the ear attachment system

Denis, thank you so much for the insight - I've pinned the comment to make sure everyone sees it! The ear attachment is spot on, the whole hilt is brilliant mate 😍

Great video, thanks for sharing! I was wondering what the differences were between these hilts and this is a good summary 👍

This overview was incredibly useful. Thank you so much for this! Also your method and walkthrough for the video is so well done. 🙌 Looks like KR is better thought through, better engineered and better scaled than the oggdo. From what I can see is the oggdo gen 2 is a low effort remake of the first gen which wasn't actually nice to hold in first place, not even updating the blade plug for the survivor or not even changing the bad assembly method. And the chassis for the oggdo looks so small for a hilt that is actually larger than the KR. I take in game as canon over posters and cinematic trailers. I was waiting for this kind of review before I went to buy anything, now I feel reassured of my initial thoughts of going to buy two KRs to make a staff. And maybe get a shoto >.> and maybe a crossguard kit

Excellent video! Oggdo was my KENOBIII!!! until KR announced his version.

Your review of both the Oggdo and the KR is really good. You compared them quite well; with all the little details of the emiter shroud, the hilt, and the pommel. I wasn't aware of either company until I watched this video review. It's good to know that there are other companies than Saberforge and Ultrasabers to buy from. I don't have a Cal Kestis replica lightsaber, but I really want to buy one. Jedi Fallen Order is one of my favorite Star Wars video games, and I really like Cal's lightsaber. I have always customized it on every play through, but it would be cool to buy his lightsaber replica as it first appeared. I have yet to play Jedi Survivor, but I plan on buying it eventually. This is truly very informative and well explained. I'm considering buying the KR at this point.

How’d you install the wires into the greeblies that cleanly?
@rafahari2 ай бұрын
28 gauge wires, I stripped the tips and applied some super glue to it.
