@@TheJungleHaven me too! One of my favs is the Orbifolia. I have a big one in my bathroom. I’m a new sub to your channel by the way 😊 Love your intro graphics! How’d you do that?
@TheJungleHaven4 жыл бұрын
@@NataliePowellAGreytLife I LOVE orbifolias soooo much! The bathroom is a great place for them to lap up lots of humidity (I've also got one in my bathroom) ☺️ Thank you so much - I feel like there's probably a MUCH easier way of doing the intro, but I made it frame by frame in final cut (as I didn't want to pay for extra animation software)... Hahah as I say, I'm pretty certain there's a simpler way 😂🌿

Hi Clair & thanX for the informative videos, great. looking forward to more. Q. any idea's as to why my Calathea triostar has lost the red wine colour from the underside of all the leaf's? Otherwise seems healthy. The plant is quite large having some 40 leaf's.

Beautiful calatheas! I have a furry feather one and she has grown magnificently. But, she is growing inside out so all the leaves are leaning down the sides, I want her to grow big and fill the pot, but she does not.. Do I Split her in half or put in the bigger pot and hope for the best???

I loved this video! So interesting! I have a calathea ornata and so far I’ve managed to keep it alive 😂 but I could definitely do with wiping the leaves more often! do you have any recommendations for a pet friendly trailing plant that would do well hanging in a shower room? Thank you!
@TheJungleHaven4 жыл бұрын
Yay I'm so glad you found it useful. Wiping down the leaves is something a lot of people forget to do, but it's so important for the health of your plant ☺️ My video this week is actually all about pet friendly plants! It'll be up by the end of the week 💚🌿

Hi again 😁 I forgot to ask you what strength should peroxide should I use and what ratio to water? Thanks again. Deborah.
@TheJungleHaven2 жыл бұрын
Hiya, I use 3% which is medical grade for my plants! Depending on the use there's different ways you can dilute it with varying measurements - all the measurements I use are in my hydrogen peroxide video 💚

Hello Claire, I love calatheas. I have one but I don't know its name. Looks like the 1st you showed, rufibarba, but it has white lines of little leaves in the center, as if sobody has painted it, haha. Great video, thanks for sharing. Elpida
@TheJungleHaven4 жыл бұрын
Hey Elpida, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video... It could be Calathea Warscewiczii? Their leaves look quite similar but it has beautiful white veins... I hope this helps 💚🌿

Oh no, I've had rufibarba for over a week now and I've been misting them as I haven't got a humidifier yet 😩
@TheJungleHaven4 жыл бұрын
Don't worry too much, a bit of misting won't hurt, it's only if furry plants regularly receive a lot of water on their leaves, meaning that it isn't able to evaporate properly ☺️🌿

All of my calatheas are thriving except for white fusion, I keep humidity at about 65% and leaves are still crispy. Help!
@TheJungleHaven3 жыл бұрын
If the humidity levels are good this would suggest it's probably down to a watering imbalance. Calatheas are sensitive to this anyway, but certain types (like white fusion) can be even more susceptible to issues. I'd say start by pruning back/chopping away the crispy edges, make sure the soil stays consistently and evenly moist (but not saturated), your plant has good drainage and the soil is light (not too dense). If you haven't already tried using either distilled or rain water this can also be a great idea for sensitive plants as it contains less chemicals than regular tap water
