great video. I guess my question is, in order for us to draw directions on HCP, would we always have to convert from miller-bravais indices to normal three indices to draw them on HCP? Or is there a way to draw straight from the miller-bravais indices? Well thank you any how.

please answer me, why hexagonal system has 3 horizontal axes (a1, a2, a3 ) than other systems?

What software do you use to make these tutorials ?, I guess it works with a digital writing pad of some sort aswell ?

I thought A did not equal C!!! How did C/2 become 1/2 ? please an answer asap!

yeah, but in the z-axis C length is unit length:)

If we are using a1 and a2 at the start. Why can't we just ignore a3 when we change it to 4 digit miller indice. Eg. [1 2 0] = [1 2 0 0] ?

4.19 am I blind or sth or did he just say that a is not = to c then divide everything and write -1,1,1/2 pretending like a = c?

i have some questions and i'll be grateful to anyone who can answer these 1. why was there a need to establish a fourth axis ? why cannot the same thing be done with only three axis? 2. why did you traverse to the head of the vector from the axis a1 and a2 ? why didnt you choose to describe the vector in terms of a3 and a2 or a3 and a1, just take a2 equal to zero and a3 equal to 1.

Y not just use a2-a3-z, so a2=0, a3=1 & z=1/2 ?
