Slab Building A Heart-Shaped Baking Form // full pottery process + apple pie recipe

The last Valentine's Day special!
In this video I show you how to make a ceramic baking form. I'm making this by slab building. I start of by cutting out the clay and I later on attach these on top of each other. I also included the glazing and the final result. In the end of the video I show you a fun vegan recipe that you could try in your own baking form.

Thank you!! I don't think it matters much, but I would recommend to fire at a stoneware temperature and then use a stoneware clay :)

Dankjewel! Ik heb de klei hier rechtstreeks uit het pak gebruikt, maar soms kan het handig zijn om de platte plak iets harder te laten worden. Dit is vooral handig bij lastigere vormen😊

Why do you prefer vinegar instead or regular “slip” ( clay+water) ?

For me it works cleaner and I feel like it becomes stronger than slip. The vinegar has a reaction with the clay which makes the clay viscosity higher which means it becomes stickier and helps it bond better😊

Love the build, I would just be careful using glazes inside of bakeware. Over multiple uses glaze can separate from the clay and end up in food
