Apple Squares | Fall Apple Recipe | Easy Dessert Recipe by Heartway Farms

Today Julianne will share how to make our family's recipe for delicious apple squares. This is basically a large, flat apple pie, and it's sure to be a crowd pleaser at any family get together this Fall! We hope you all enjoy this multigenerational recipe! ‪@HeartwayFarms‬

Here's the recipe:
10 apples, peeled, cored, sliced
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/4 cup flour
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon clove
1/8 teaspoon nutmeg
2 tablespoons butter, cubed
1 egg (for egg wash)
Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 tablespoons milk

Use double crust recipe
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-45 minutes. Let cool completely before glazing.

That looks so good. We use the left over crusts rolled out and butter and add cinnamon and sugar. Cut in pieces and bake. Maybe you do the same.

Loved the recipe. Can't wait to make it! I make an apple tart which is very easy using only one pie crust and some Carmel drizzled at the bottom. Very easy and quick to make and serve hot.

Tip: Try using a baking sheet to suction the apple peeler on. Works great and frees up both hands😊

I love the editing you guys do on the videos! Yours are some of my favorite to watch. The music is perfect and the combination of talking and quiet, love it. You have some skilled videographers, Annie! My only suggestion is that I've noticed when you are doing recipes, the written recipe always ends up directly under the close captioning. It makes it quite hard to read and at times hard to even know that the typed out recipe is there! We have some family that have hearing issues so we always have cc on, but it does cover up the recipe. I know now to stop the video, rewind and play again without cc when I want to see the details, but many of your viewers may not, and may simply miss the recipe. Is there a way to move the recipe to the right corner or the top left? Not sure if that's possible. Either way, keep up the great work Heartway!!
