And the funny thing is Mackinnon has played on a far better team his entire career, and only then when his team got good did he, also the one year he had more points than mcdavid he also had 6 more games played, if connor had those six mackinnon would have been in the dust. In their meetings mcdavid has 29 points vs mackinnon 23, mcdavid has more assists and goals and a higher spgt% mcdavid with 7 points in the playoffs vs mackinnon vs mackinnon 5. Mcdavid also has a higher ppg in the playoffs and reg season. Sorry to embarrass you hopefully your mind gets changed, but that will likely never happen as you are an avs fan. Also mackinnon himself has said mcdavid is better.

Not close yet . Makar is a point per game franchise defensemen. Won the Calder, the Norris, the Stanley Cup, and won the Conn Smythe. Makar has one season where he hasn't made a point per game and that's his first year and still won the Calder. He's a + player every season he's played. 72 games played in the post season with 29 goals and 59 assists while being a + player. Hughes is also a franchise defenseman. Hughes has played in 30 playoff games and has scored 2 goals with 26 assists and he's a -1. Hughes isn't a point per game player yet. No Calder, no Cup, and no Conn Smythe. And they're only a year apart. There's a difference between a player being better or you liking a player better.
