Watchin him play now, is the prime example of why Bears shouldn't have signed him. Got all that speed, but don't know how to run the ball, plus he's more of a screen back to me and he's small. Herbert should be the starter, he has better field vision, he just hit his holes right away. There is NO anticipation in his run game and he break tackles. Roschon is ok to. But Swift is CLEARLY the weak link as of right now.

Agree - I think Waldron needs to understand his personnel and improve (improvements this week are getting Kmet and Adunze going) but he was terrible in his rotation of running backs taking out Roschon when he was hot, not have Roschon in there on the 1 yard line when he is our toughest short yardage guy. When have we ever had a QB throwing over 300 yards? Fields never has done that.

I would hope it wouldn't, but realistically in this league when you pay a guy a lot of money you tend to play him even when it isn't deserved. Ryan Poles brought him in, so I guess I'm not yet quite sure how much of the blame I would put on Waldron for Swift playing as much as he is thus far.

Do not understand how Bears fans can look at what Caleb just did with his ability to throw the ball all over the Field and not continue to feel excited about where he and the Bears are headed. Still glad Caleb is here....I think other things are failing him that are not his fault. Waldron needs a better scheme and needs to get the play call in on time. His line needs to do a better job obviously. Its sad we are stuck with this for the remainder. Poles has failed in this department. He could have probably signed Conner Williams but cheaped out with Shelton. Could have signed another guard that had starting experience, instead he rode Nate Davis. Davis is as bad a signing as the trade for Chase Claypool.

I’m Packer fan and im scared of the bears with this. I feel this guy is just building his leverage, proving he’s a student of the game and a gamer. Later he’s gonna use that leverage and steam roll bad players and bad coaches, he seems like the guy that won’t deal with shit, he wants better. If he has the leverage he’ll shake out to a team and staff he needs. Fields and previous bear QB’s just don’t have that natural instinct for the conflict needed to get great shit done at all costs. I think this is just a kid who doesn’t know that yet, but has the potential to be that guy that demands and acts on the real needs form his POV. THAT ability to make a situation ugly to get shit done is called leadership. Bears have had it in spades over the years on defense, never on offense. I’m afraid that this guy is that dude.

Every week he is getting better!! CJ Stroud said it took him 3-4 games before it started to click. That would be an insane result if that happened to caleb. Remember, most QBs could take 1-3 years to start playing well. I think caleb is already way ahead of schedule. It was great to see him pass for over 300 yards and get some TDs. Now that THATS out of the way, he has less pressure each game

Caleb is improving week to week. Waldron is a football terrorist with his playcalling. Poles needs to splurge on the offensive line so Caleb doesn’t end up like the guys before him

This dude is so lucky he went to a team with a solid defense and that will threw away the first game and his special teams made plays...cause omg...he should be 0-3 and in the end that's all that matters for a qb....stats are kinda irrelevant....

Caleb is fine. The coaching sucks. This was their chance to establish a run game against a team giving it up on the ground like crazy, and the Bears ended up throwing over 50 times??? We don't go for 2 after that last TD. Then call a timeout? What is going on? We can only see so many games before "It's still early" is no longer an excuse.

I just want to say Caleb seems like he really wants to be with the bears. Hes a stand up guy and he’s always bringing up the guys around him and talking about hard work. Happy he is our QB1
