To the people reading the comments, as someone who has worked for a credit card company, please don't pay your rent with cash advances. It doesn't 'help' your credit at all, regardless of what George thinks. You're just paying fees, that's it. Only ever do those in emergency situations and NOTHING ELSE.
@darkpraxis2 жыл бұрын
I was going to ask, how does having a revolving credit card balance and taking cash advances on lines of credit improve your credit score? It can't be any better than just paying your balance off every month. You don't get extra points for donating your money to Visa and Mastercard through fees.
@eametichonmobile2 жыл бұрын
As an experienced banker in the largest US Bank, cash advances are the dumbest decision ever. It screams desperation every-time I see a cash advance as most of the time it’s the last option to cash fund access. The fees are not worth it as the I retest accrues immediately and many times the reason you are paying the fee is because the bank sees it as a higher risk of non payment because it’s CASH. How do they know you aren’t buying drugs? Many times the cash available for an advance is only a portion of the card. You are better off with a personal line of credit over a dumb cash advance on a card.
@redrover4382 жыл бұрын
@@darkpraxis It doesn't. Cash advances aren't purchases so there's no points that you receive for them with most cards. Revolving balance matters as far as the percentage that gets reported to the bureaus to make up your utilization rate, but that's only once a month. George is just not well versed in how credit cards work, and its a common issue.

The main thing they lack is humility or any willingness to heed the advice of others. Some never learn it. You could see it in how he fought you on every single thing you said. They are convinced that they know better, that they will be the exception. The big question is who will be there to catch him when he falls. A parent, sibling, or a girlfriend. I really hope when he does, it will teach him to slow down and learn how to actually invest wisely in himself.

Oh wow, this one was difficult. He’s betting on himself and that’s great, but he’s so unrealistic. He absolutely can still work and chase this dream, he can work part time. There are heaps of people who have (and have not) made it and worked while chasing the dream. He’s not willing to sacrifice eating out because that’s “looking after himself” and “keeping himself happy”. That’s ridiculous. He’s not willing to sacrifice in the short term so he can chase the dream for longer. He’d rather continue his same lifestyle and only chase the dream for half the time. He’s shooting himself in the foot. If being happy is so important to him, why is he doing this financial audit? He obviously doesn’t care about his financial situation and while he’s not working consistently there’s no real point discussing his financial goals and future. I wonder if this is just a part for him to try and put himself out there a little more. If it is, I hope he realises that this makes him look bad and shows how unlikeable he is. This is rather mean - but with his attitude, I hope he doesn’t make it. His attitude toward the world is just unrealistic and he needs a reality check. I hope he has to go back to getting a regular job and puts his life back together. Golden Chick will still taste the same and make him just as happy.

When you're naturally good looking things came easy for you because of your looks. He definitely specifically is only where he's at because of his genes. If me and a most people I knew ate nothing but $500 worth of fried chicken and burgers for a month we'd become fat instantly. Just the grease alone in all that fucks your skin normally and makes you break out. But this dude apparently has done it constantly for years and is thin, in good shape, with good skin too. Apparently "happiness" is just eating $500 of fatty foods every month and still looking good, which literally isn't realistic for like 99% of people. It's ridiculous. He also had a sales role at a car dealership where those types of jobs generally hire more off looks than anything. Those same types are also usually delusional because they talk up their game to try to sell you something. It's where the whole idea of a good looking scummy car salesman comes from lol. And that's literally what he's doing with his actual life too. Claiming sacrifice, claiming he's all about good food, yet he's just spending half his income on fast food. No fine dining. Just fast food. No real sacrifice. Wow he doesn't go shooting as often. Holy cow. What a sacrifice! I've watched all the audits so far and loved them. Most are willing to actually sacrifice and make a real change to their lives, but this dude is just delusional and entitled.

"I could die tomorrow" is the most cop out answer I've ever heard. By this, he will somehow avoid death in every instant, live a long unfulfilling life with uncontrollable debt that affects not only himself, but all those around him. Everybody should give chasing a dream a go but this guy is delusional... Also, if he is an "auto guy", why doesn't he buy a beater and fix it up himself which saves so much money on minor servicing costs?
@Faisaldegrt2 жыл бұрын
It's true tho, many people keep planning for a future they never attain.
@VincennamonLe2 жыл бұрын
@@Faisaldegrt some plan to fail, some fail to plan. Some plan and then never take action because the plan isn't "perfect". Sometimes, the best thing to do is just to do it and if it fails, adjust. He says he wants to put his everything into chasing his dream. Get rid of the car, work 6 months and save as much as possible, buy a beater and work on it. Anime? Stream it for free or watch it with ads, he can't afford to pay for that. If he is a foodie, learn to cook as its fun and a good skill to have. Not enough time in the day? Set up a way to apply as much as possible in the shortest amount of time possible for gigs, something automated or hire someone to outsource that to while doing side jobs/main job with reliable income. There are lots of ways to go about this but to me, he isn't committed to the dream, he is committed to the fomo with a mix of laziness in there. But that's just my opinion.

Even at 34, I feel like we are still behind where we should be. I wonder... How the hell do people that earn less than a quarter of our household get it all done with more expensive homes, more glamorous lifestyles, more kids, and more cars? I guess they aren't saving for retirement (or seem to care at all), are deeply in debt, and ... Just somehow managing to be around. Almost every video is an absolute SHOCK.
