What I enjoy about this channel is unlike many other lifting channels, bryce does not insist that his way is the only way. He is humble enough to acknowledge that there are other methods out there that might suit you better, lists the advantages and disadvantages and encourages you to try things out.

Been watching ever since Candito mentioned in one of his videos as the best powerlifting channel on youtube. He wasn't wrong. You explain all the complicated things about technique on deads, squats and bench, in such manner that everyone can understand it. Production quality is up there with big channels. You DESERVE way more subscribers.

Screwed up my back conventional deadlifting awhile back. Today I deadlifted for the first time in about 2 years. Swapped to sumo to better support my still trash lower back. This video helped a ton. Thanks!
@mirkomarjanovic32343 жыл бұрын
1:10 - 1:25 holy shit that transition was smooooth. On the other hand this is quite a definite quide on sumo. I ditched the conventional due to lower back problems, while I still would say that conventional is the best strength builder I just couldn't reason with myself to continue pulling and living in pain every day. Some of us just aren't build for it (technique is also a factor in this). So I went to the dark side and switched to sumo. This video really cemented my decision and helped me progress significantly and with NO pain. Brilliant video, thank you!

Same here. I focus on sumo to avoid lumbar pain due to herniations and stenosis. My biggest issue is setup, as I am 6-3 and my frame not optimal for DL either style.

Gotta do what you gotta do to stay pain free and lifting. I have alot of injuries from car accidents and work so I've switched do Sumo for deadlift and Zercher squats for legs vs back squats.

cool guy, nice video, good explanation. i would just like to know, how far away to you setup the bar itself from your ankle? I tend to rip my skin off, while doin sumo.
@clamum96482 жыл бұрын
I wouldn't mind some more details on the "finish with back extension vs finish with hips extension." It might be very apparent to others, but maybe cause I'm I guess intermediate (just about 3 years lifting weights) and haven't done much deadlifting until this past summer (and even then, not a lot, and not real heavy) I don't quite understand fully what the difference is. For "keeping the back extension," is that just keeping your back more-or-less straight and not letting it curve into flexion? I definitely already do that when deadlifting.
