I've listened to plenty of terrible songs, i even made a few. But, in my years of listening to "songs" that make me want to kms I have never heard anything like this auditory meth withdrawal. The lyrics are the edgiest "it's not a phase mom" bullshit, the character design is just plain ugly, the midi instruments are horribly programmed, the vocals manage to be flat and boring despite being made with one of the best AI voice synths, the melody has no rhythm, and the mixing is basically non existent. Please give up, edgelord.

I'm interested in Calibur girls design. Specifically the bullets. Bullets are pretty precise and have exactly one purpose which is to kill. So i would like to believe the bullets represent Calibur girls accuracy when it comes to performing most tasks, but also her being raised to serve one purpose which is to succeed. edit: I have even more to say lol. I like the futuristic aesthetic that was chosen for her. With the future we tend to associate it with automation but also perfection, as most problems or technologies have been perfected or vastly improved. And with the bullets again, I like how she uses the bullets, (the tool/accessory) instead of the gun (the more vocal portion/ the reason why the bullets work in the first place). The design is just perfect breh.

idk man that person in the pinned comment sounds like a real goofball. so I'm going to yap about my own opinions on this song :3 to me the mechanical/industrial sounds remind me of feeling burnt out, just sort of going through the motions with no breaks. the lyrics don't scream "it's not a phase mom" but it definitely screams "I was labelled as high functioning, therefore I had unfair expectations thrown onto me as a result" the mixing is really good; throughout most of the song, caliber girl has an even and steady range, but there are parts where she goes above and beyond (like in the "if I'm not perfect I don't want to be anything at all" part) and I think that really fits in with the theme of the song. staying at a steady pace and doing what you have to, but then eventually having enough and diverting away from that i hope I worded everything alright ‼️ I am just super passionate about this project and I love analysing every little note and syllable and coming to my own silly conclusions

LIKE OK . Caliber girl reflects the mentality and work culture of so many immigrant communities; im iraqi specifically so i can only speak for that specific culture, but ive seen the same sentiments reflected when talking to my other immigrant friends It's specifically the ideas of american expetionalism and the "american dream" that gets sold to so many immigrants. So many people come to this country due to poverty or war (for me and my family it was the latter), and we're promised vague ideas of "oppurtunity" and "freedom", when that's not what ends up being given to us American work culture will kill you from the inside and work you till you're sick, and we're told to appreciate and be grateful for what we're given. We're brushed off when we look for structural solutions and we're not allowed value outside of what we could bring to the workplace. Moving to America i was told that i could get anything i wanted if i worked hard enough and "pulled myself up by the bootstraps", and then when we inevitably struggle and burnout we feel as though we're simply not "strong" enough, and this attitude kills people!! To me, caliber girl represents the myth of the "model minority", of the immigrant or the woman who picked herself up and broke through the glass ceiling through sheer grit or determination. And maybe that's what she genuinely believes herself to be, and it's what she wants to be, and it's all she feels like she *could* be because for all the "oppurtunties" she was given to work herself to death, she was never presented with the oppurtunity to simply be. Caliber girl shows the ugly, ugly truth behind the facade of american exeptionalism. It's tiring and jt's dull and it sees you as nothing other than a pawn to exploit for the sake of some respective company. I am . Im so obsessed with this character and all she represents, both you and caligi did an absolutely amazing job conceptualizing her and bringing her to life. She's going on my kin list IMMEDIATELY ❤❤

i like how the mv is about driving. i have a lot of thoughts about it. driving is a lot of work, until it becomes second nature (still a lot of work but more automatic). perhaps caliber girl's work has become second nature to her, making it seem less valuable in her eyes, leading to her doing more work as a challenge / to prove herself to her employers / whatever it is. also driving can kill people but it is treated very casually. also like working!

I’ve been attached to this song since the demo because it felt very reflective of my experience with OCD. (I had internalized a lot of toxic thought patterns regarding productivity.) (the aspect and lunar sway i care less about here.) maids are defined by high expectations and a general "workaholism"*, belonging to a pair of classes very interested in potential and overexceeding** (the other class in the pair is sylphs). maids can accomplish some pretty wild shit if they put their minds to it (no clue what aradia was doing with all those timebots, but it was definitely a lot; and jane became fuckin president in post-canon). the analogy that keeps coming to my head when i think about all this (which is from the same source as all the rest of this information, and that source is NOT ME) is "drawing blood from a stone" uhhh that's really it, that's all i have to say - this is kind of the "maid's journey" song. learning that You Are Working Too Hard and You Should Probably Slow Down Before You Negatively Affect Your Health Further. *or, maybe not, depending on who you consult lol **idk if this is a word although, interestingly enough***, pages and maids seem to have similar upbringings, in which excessive expectations are placed on them. although, i'm not sure what the defining factor is that splits the two apart. for the chinese parts, i believe they mean (note: i looked these up on two websites and referenced Charles-qx6yz in the comments, i do not have experience in chinese) 夜以继日 (yèyǐjìrì) all night and day (idiom) 废寝忘食 (fèiqǐnwàngshí) to skip one's sleep and meals (idiom) 绞尽脑汁 (jiǎojìnnǎozhī) to rack one's brains 追悔莫及 (zhuīhuǐmòjí) it's too late for regrets (idiom) 自相矛盾 (zìxiāngmáodùn) to contradict oneself / self-contradictory

i'm unsure of the japanese bits, as the first line may be innacurate, or お could be を (of / from) お and を have the same pronunciation in common speech, both being "o" (を can also be "wo" in songs or formal writing, or in romaji translations to prevent misunderstandings.) 手遅れなんだよ teokure na nda yo (i think that's how romaji works) (it's too late) 手遅れ (being too late / losing one's final chance) な (a connecting particle to the noun and nda yo) んだよ (answering / stating a fact with emotional emphasis)
