I want to use this for spreading sand on pavers (for the crack-sand that goes in between paver stone driveways, patios, etc). Then I can just blow and sweep it more into the cracks. Which product will work the best for that?

Since each fertilizer has a unique particle size and density, wouldn't you have to calibrate your spreader for each fertilizer?

So I set my spreader to recommended setting, fill spreader with fertilizer. Then I pass through my lawn once evenly. Put remaining fertilizer back in bag for next time, and I’m good right?

What made you determine to use the 12 setting?

Why did you assume to just load 12 lbs to use? The size of the pellets don't seem to vary substantially from one another. Going from using a 5 setting hole to a 12 is a big difference though. I,m still confused.

Isn’t the 17.17.17 fertilizer 1/3- 1/3-1-3. So would be 33.3%

17% x 3 = 51% primary nutrients consisting of N, P, and K. The remainder is filler or carrier material that has no nutritive value.

Math... 6lbs * .5 = 3lbs of fertilizer per 500 square feet.
