To be honest, I thought this was one of there best choreographed routines. Very entertaining to watch. If they could only hit it. I'm tired of boring routines that are only technical. I want to see some creativity and showmanship and this routine has it.

I’m a die hard fan of smoed. I feel like they’re stuck in the 2010s. The choreo looks similar in past routines (although this one is definitely more interesting). Other teams have stepped it up and it shows. It’s as though smoed hasn’t really evolved with cheer. I still love them tho

They need more difficulty. Period. I feel like their tumbling needs to be amped up, and so do their stunts. I don't like the baskets going to the front, but that's just a personal preference.

If their difficulty is fine, then why is their raw score over a point lower than Diamonds, who only put up 4 stunts? That gap is only going to widen at Worlds since the Worlds scoresheet is out of 150 points. You can't have the guys carry your tumbling score in small coed.

Your raw score doesn't go down by over a point if you don't hit, lol. Also, did you know that BSB had a pyramid issue on day 1? Didn't think so. Ironically, Smoed's raw score went up on day 2 despite having more deductions, so that literally contradicts what you're saying, lol. And, I never said I was so educated on Smoed's score, so I'm not seeing where you're getting that impression. I'm just comparing the other 8 teams that placed in front of them.

Ah okay. So you didn't actually see the breakdowns of the scores. You just heard it from someone, who heard it from someone, who heard it from someone. Seems really valid. I'm sure I'll see the Cheerleaders episode about it in 5 weeks when they're finally at NCA, and they should address it. Also, BSB's raw score went up on day 2 even though they had deductions, when they didn't have deductions on day 1. So, do raw scores go up or down when you don't hit? Apparently you seem to have all this inside information, so you must know, right?

i can assume the reason why they didn’t score so high is because of execution and technique. sierra didn’t have her toes pointed and ankles/ legs together in her jumps, standing fulls were so off centered people went all the way to the left of panel when they started in the center, tucks their legs were apart, tumbling was a huge mess, the fulls were so hunched over it looked like a twisting pike over, when they land in their running tumbling they lean way too far in and the judges like clean landings when you stand tall, it’s just how you execute it which hurts their scores, bent knees in doubles, enrique in his coed stunt went to a straight up when it was supposed to be a single handed toss up. and their stunting was a mess. i saw a lot of cross ankles, their double down prones after their arabesque are supposed to straight and keep your body in but their bodies curved which is horrible stunting technique and there was way too much movement in the stunts and they were wobbly it was like they could hardly keep their flyers in their air and the flyers had bent knees when pulling motions in their air. but also it just looks rushed. the pyramid was a hot mess, we got no clear visuals because they looked tired and they had low hight for assisted front facing fulls, and the bases looked so weak trying to hold those girls in the air it looked like they were squatting because their knees were so bent on top of the slipping and falling. they need to do a complete 360 with their athletes and their routine. they’re getting out stunted by practically everyone in the division because they’re using the same stunts we’ve seen for 3 seasons straight, they’re being outskilled especially in tumbling with only throwing the minimum amount of skills needed and adding no variety it’s most straight doubles and way too many fulls, new choreography because the pyramid looks like 2014 and 2015 combined, it’s the same format ever since worlds 2014 none of the sections switch up or anything new, and they need to perform and work on execution and technique because this was sloppy.

cheer werkin “i know nothing about” but my mom is a coach at ny icons and i cheer myself and she judges at local allstar and youth competitions LMAOO you’re pressed bc your half ass athletes on smoed get their asses handed to them at every competition. and you’re trying to prove how i’m a bad person well i guess the judges are too bc they got the same reaction from watching both days. don’t let your emotions get in the way or making rational decisions for a team. thank you !! until next time 😘😘

I’m just going to explain the obvious. Basically watering down what the original poster said because you can’t seem to comprehend. Yes smoed and Cali allstars are both great. But there is no energy in the routine, making it boring to watch. I do watch the KZbin series that they have, and I feel that they have not been putting in as much effort as they have the previous years. It also seems like Eddie isn’t as hard on them, compared to the past years. The routine does seem rushed, they are also lacking difficulty. The stunts aren’t much of a change since last year or the year before, so it loses the wow factor. But yes I do still think that they are a great team. But in no way did they deserve a higher score. And yes I do think that if they work a little harder and are more focused then they will have a 5peat at worlds. Anyways i hope this cleared some stuff up.

Way to competitive and teams have caught up to smoed and this isn't keeping other teams out of reach bsb and diamonds could easily slay their elite section and it doesn't matter but this routine is boring and the elite is kinda plain if this was any other team performing this it wouldn't make any heads turns

Sydney Bowers it’s hard to explain. California allstars has this bullet thing. Each team on Cali allstars (smoed, lady bullets, Cali coed) tries to incorporate something with guns or bullets. Think of 2013 smoed. One of the songs in their mix went like “I’m a fully automatic machine gun I’ll shoot you down”. Pretty much the gyms “mascot” thing are bullets or guns. Smoed is in a gym where bullets are incorporated. Btw the CA bullets on the screen you see is just the gyms logo :)
