Finally played California Games on a C-64 Mini. One of the most noticeable differences between that version and the NES version is that the C-64 actually has better graphics. I'm not kidding. The Golden Gate Bridge actually looks like the Golden Gate Bridge on the Commodore 64. Also, I'm not sure if this is a thing on the NES version, but on the C-64 version, you can pick a flag for each player, and two of them say "Frisbee" and "Hackee Sack."

As an Australian I've only ever heard the term 'Grommet' used in the Lockie Leonard series of books. To the rest of the world, grommets are the flappy holes found in pc's used for cable management.
