Thank you for that information. I have only really focused on Police officer positions and probation. I I'm finishing up my Bachelors in Psychology and was pushing into juvenile probation but I am open to building experience where ever I can get my foot in. Thank you so much for all the time you put into these videos.

Hi. Thank you for sharing the valuable knowledge. Where do I sign up for that pallet B test? I failed my last one with the local agencies by few points. I’m 35 I have one last shot at this. I have a test coming up in an month where do I get more pallet B training because I must pass this time. I have other agencies that I am in the background process but I’d prefer CHP. Please help me if you can. Thank you for your time and looking forward to hearing from ya.

I recommend buying the post pallet B exam secrets sold by Amazon and published by Mometrix. It has a yellow cover with black letters. Keep in mind that all local police departments offer the POST Pellet The exam once a month.

@@AdjuMjc thank you so much. I literally have one shot at the CHP because I’m 35 and going to be 36 in July and the test is in March. However I’m also in the backgrounds with other sheriff agencies. This is actually a perfect Segway to ask another question if you will, I wanted to know if to one agencies offers me a position and I’m necessarily looking for another agency should I turn it down or should I take it and then wait till the other offers? Or take it and do lateral or what would you suggest? And I appreciate you’re help by the way very helpful.

Well, there is an old saying that says, one bird in your hand is better than multiple birds flying away. I recommend that you accept the first job offer you are given from a large law enforcement agency and agree to work for that agency for at least 3 to 5 years. If you get hired by an agency and then resign six months later, it will not look good for your career and future job prospects. Job security is vital on future background investigations. I know you prefer the highway patrol, however, you must respect the first LE agency that gives you a job offer. Now, you may have some flexibility in having several days or even a week to decide whether or not to accept the job offer but beyond that point, you must either accept or refuse the offer.

If you are under 35, active duty in the military, you do have options to be eligible for an additional eight years. Of course things change all the time, so check with a recruiter.
@AdjuMjc2 жыл бұрын
Yes, if on active military duty, you must take and pass all CHP tests before your 36th birthday and you will be able to postpone hire date until you have completed ✅ military duty but in any event, check with CHP recruiter and get it in writing ✍️ 😊
@UncleSarkis2 жыл бұрын
@@AdjuMjc Thank you for clarifying. I was thinking of doing this, but I decided that at 34, if I am hired, I will get out of active (1 year left), join the reserves in the military and be on the CHP.
@AdjuMjc2 жыл бұрын
@@UncleSarkis when I worked in law enforcement several officers 👮♀️ were reserves in the r military. They still got paid their salary when they went to their monthly military training. I fully understand that once u leave active duty, you are considered a reserve and are subject to call back. If you are close to 34 you need to move fast as the age restriction is fast approaching. I highly recommend that if you desire to become a CHP when u get out… get in touch with one of their recruiters ASAP! Keep in mind that CHP is a state job - from there you can also lateral to other state jobs such as special agent etc the worst thing u can do is let that age pass without even trying. Explore all of your options now before that golden opportunity sunsets.

Thank you. I’m looking to shoot for a career in the CHP, I just enrolled into a community college and majoring in administration of justice. Any tips for what’s to come? I’m currently 23 years old and finally going back to school!
@AdjuMjc Жыл бұрын
Congratulations on your decision to go back to community college to obtain additional experience in the criminal justice field. I recommend you sit in front of the class and ask as many questions from the instructor as possible whenever the opportunity arises. I also recommend that you change your personal lifestyle in terms of eating and exercise, so that you will be prepared for the future CHP Academy. Lastly, make sure you make other adjustments to your personal life so that you are successful in college. This includes getting enough sleep and arriving to class early whenever possible ask questions from professor or instructor who is a former law enforcement person about how to handle various situations in law enforcement. Do not share your life plans with others as jealousy is still alive in today’s world. Work hard on your future career by staying focused and not getting distracted. Watch some of my videos which will help you stay away from social media and instead focus your energy on your future well paying career with CHP. 😊

Why does the state limit the age to 35?
@89frisco2 жыл бұрын
I'm from Los Angeles and I applied with Beverly Hills PD, they pay 100K to start, but I also applied with the CHP. if both are willing to hire me, I don't know which one I'll choose. Which one would you say is less dangerous ??
@AdjuMjc2 жыл бұрын
If you have watched some of my videos you would know that construction workers have some of the most dangerous jobs in America. Look 👀 at the OSHA website to confirm this. The choice on which law enforcement dept to choose rests on what are your preferences are in terms of what type of assignments you will have at each job. Beverly Hills Pd is a great dept with great 👍 equipment, qualified staff, great pay and benefits. The same can be said for CHP. CHP deals more with traffic enforcement, traffic accidents, drunk drivers, etc. A unique perk with CHP is that you can transfer your job to many CHP offices throughout California. I recommend writing ✍️ down a list of pros and cons for each job and see which one better fits your personality 😊

Why does the state limit the age to 35?
@AdjuMjc5 ай бұрын
CHP, FBI, military, and other state agencies have applications age restrictions. FBI agents are forced to retire at age 57 unless they have specialty area that gives them an exception to that rule. I have q suspicion that it has to do with retirement benefits but not verifiable. Most city and county law enforcement agencies do not have application age restrictions. The oldest officer I trained entered the police a academy at 52 years of age.
