It's not really a fail. Well I guess under 42 is according to POST. I took it last month and scored 47.4. The agency wanted 48. Each department can set their own number. With this score I qualified for over 12 agencies . The test is supposedly a "gauge" or measure on how well you will do in the academy. I was in LE for 10 years and have passed the academy 3 times. Test is challenging but not impossible to get a good score. Im taking it again this month to increase my score.

Just to add, this is usually done before you qualify to take the physical test. You can’t move forward without passing this. I passed it the first time I took it a few years ago but many I was taking the test with it was their 3rd or 4th time taking it.

wrong, I have taken the physical test first then if you pass you can take the written exam

I am scheduled to take the physical test first then directly afterwards I should be taking the PELLETB. -From Northern California Depends on the PD

BE WARNED. There are several mistakes and errors on the practice test linked in their bio. Simple grammar mistakes, incorrect spelling and insufficient answers are present in each section of the FREE practice test. I hope this will be corrected as this aspect of the free practice test far from helpful for those attempting to study this material.
