I don’t know if you have a record , but look into enrolling in college and seeing if you qualify for a grant. Sometimes they’ll give you more money than what’s needed for your courses and you get to keep it. I know several people who used that to get through.

I feel for you. I really do. Here is just a piece of advice. Feel free to take it or leave it, I'm just giving it in a kind, respectful way. In the future, if someone disrespects you, or makes you feel uncomfortable while at work, do speak with the manager, BUT YOU ALSO NEED TO SPEAK WITH HR AS WELL. Don't try to be the "nice one". Put the incident, HOWEVER SMALL, on record. Let HR hear it from YOUR PERSPECTIVE. You can tell them that you don't want to pursue anything other than request a sit down with you, your manager, the HR person and the person of conflict... the reason for this is to suggest to HR that you are willing to resolve issues before they get out of hand, AND just as you don't want to feel uncomfortable at work you don't want the other person to feel uncomfortable either. Situations and words that are said may seem small to you, but can also be an easy way for a "sh*t starter" to get the upper hand and make it seem like you are the problem. Or, you may think that a situation is completely over, but it is still living rent free in that other person's head and any little thing you say that he/she doesn't vibe with will cause it to build up. Then, while you have kept quiet and moved on - the other person has been putting a bug in HR's ear the whole time. Yes, petty people are out there. In most cases the people we work with ARE NOT OUR FRIENDS and will throw you under the bus for literally no reason at all. So. If you choose to take this advice it may indeed help to prevent this from happening in the future. If you work in a place where there is no HR readily available, make sure to speak with BOTH the manager AND the second in charge. Go to them respectfully and calmly, no matter how upset you feel at the time, and do this ASAP. Don't wait a few days then go (the other person will likely already have gone and said as much as possible about you in a negative way). Be blessed. I hope that this new year is filled with prosperity. Remember this... when one door closes, another is opening for you that may be the entrance to something much greater.

Its a blessing not to be around these types. You need to report people who are treating you poorly to hr. Its best for you to get a job at a non profit. I have had a pretty good experience working in academic institutions. Private companies have been the worse for me.

I am sorry you had to go through this. Are you able to file for unemployment to help you until you get another job? This doesn't appear to be a good fit for you. The hardest thing about working is the people. It is like at every job. I got a job where I could work from home abd not have to deal with people. I suggest registering with The Employment Office One-Stop. *If you are special needs, you fall under Americans with Disabilities which means your employer must make accommodations for you. Please don't let this get you down. These companies have big turn over.

I get what you mean. I struggle with hiding my temper when patients, managers, HR, Leads, co-workers, customers intentionally do malicious things towards me. When are we going to hold those people accountable. That dude is trying to provide for his family. Y’all really think he wants to lose income? Stop playing America. He is just trying to work. He’s not plotting on coworkers. No one ever investigates the other party. They just terminate. But if he was to launch an investigation on them he would still get fired.
