California job market: Layoffs and unemployment rate tick upwards

In August, new jobs stood at 20,000, way less than the 60,000 jobs the Golden State averaged in the last year. On the other side of slowing job growth, layoffs are now increasing.

My first job was $4.75 an hour 1996 😂.. and my parents kicked me out at 17 and lived in my car off and on for about a year. I knew I had to get an education ASAP because I hate fast food work and I did and I'm better off for my career choices. I knew back then minimum wage was not life changing and will never be.

I’m unemployed due to the pandemic and my unemployment has long since run out. I remain unemployed now and am certainly included in their statistics because I’m not receiving unemployment anymore. I bet there are many more cases like mine that are not included the their statistics. It’s not 4.1%. It’s more like 14.1% unemployed

Vaccine mandates totally decimated medical field jobs in Maine. Some of our hospitals loss about %10 of their staff that were able to work the pandemic without issue until Gov. Mills forced the mandates on medical workers. With Canada rescinding it's mandates for borders comapnies need to give it up. The mandates aren't working and have caused irrefutable damage to the economy.
