RMC raptors are probably pretty easy to relocate given their compact footprint and modest height. It’s weirder that they bought a full scale GCI wooden coaster that they’re probably just going to end up tearing down. Plus even if they did try to relocate it, it has an even more dense wooden structure because of it being made to be resistant to earthquakes (kind of like GhostRider at Knotts).

used to live in san jose and this place was my childhood 😩 i remember coming here so much during around 2011-2016 and havent been there since. ill have so much time to visit but its sad to see it close

We should get super lit on some good kush, take a few hundred mg of some edibles, and wander around the park after hours. If the security guard finds us, just pass him the pipe. Then get a picture of him holding the pipe and threaten to blackmail him if he doesn’t turn all the rides on for us even though he doesn’t know how to operate them. But jokes aside, I loved this place as a kid. Grew up in SoCal and Went up there on road trips a lot in the late 90’s. A good bowl is the only thing that takes me back there these days…

Went for the first time yesterday. Flight deck, gold striker (mini concussion ride) and the single file ride (orange) were pretty fun. Fit in 13 rides via fast pass.

In its last ten years, California great America rejoins its sister park under the same banner before the end. Just wish the one in near actually still ran the fountains in the pond like that. In a poetic way the two get to be together at the end.
