Slight technical issue when I made the bulgar. I made the bulgar too ‘wet’ n then at first forgot the breadcrumbs which resulted n a goopier burger. After the first two I began to scratch my head why they were coming out like this! 🤔then it came to me!! 😂 I will try to make again and have more consistent results! After i added the breadcrumbs it pulled together and the flavor was still delicious and on point!! =don’t do what I did. Could you show next time how to make the bulgar? I think that would have helped me. I’m pretty sure your supposed to just cook it 1:2 ratio bulgar:water?? This could very well have been where I went wrong or that I didn’t bother to measure that day! TY! Love this recipe! 💕

Can I use portobello instead of shiitake??
@helpfulnatural
@helpfulnatural 6 жыл бұрын
You probably could. If you use large portobello mushroom caps, you could just use that as your burger without any of the other ingredients. Remove the gills on the under side of the caps first as they hold a lot of water. Then just grill the mushroom caps as you would a burger made of meat.

Yes; I have made many Veggie Burgers and I found that Lentils combined with chick peas,brown rice, quinoa and marinated tofu I marinate in a special vegan beef marinate (no animal products), taste just like well almost like Angus beef burger. When I went vegetarian 6 years ago Steak and Shakes Angus beef burgers was the hardest to give up. I spent almost 2 1/2 years trying to come up with a veggie burger that taste similar to Angus and after so many attempts I finally succeeded in my almost similar veggie Angus Beef Burger. I fed one to my mother 2 days ago and she could not tell the difference. I am not going to sit here and lie when I say that Angus from Steak and Shake still be calling my name from time to time to come back to the dark side🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤

Nothing against your recipe, because it does sound delicious, but I don't think "modify" is the world you're looking for, when you're making something completely different.

. Applesauce Use 1/4 cup of unsweetened applesauce in place of one egg in most baking recipes. Some sources say to mix it with 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder. If all you have is sweetened applesauce, then simply reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe. Applesauce is also a popular healthy replacement for oil in many baked goods. 2. Banana Use 1/4 cup of mashed banana (from about half a banana) instead of one egg when baking. Note that this may impart a mild banana flavor to whatever you are cooking, which could be a good thing. 3. Flaxseeds Believe it or not, hearty-healthy flaxseeds can be used as an egg substitute! Simply mix 1 tablespoon of ground flaxseeds with 3 tablespoons of water until fully absorbed and viscous. Use in place of one egg. (You can use pre-ground flaxseeds or grind them yourself in a spice or coffee grinder.)

SheekaKibaNejiItachi Eggs are considered vegetarian in the US. Technically speaking, vegetarian means the exclusion of meat and eggs aren't meat. Plus, eggs from most egg farms are unfertilized nowadays, so they aren't potential life.

1. Too much work for a burger 2. You don’t squeeze water from cooked greens because the protein/vitamin is lost with it and makes it equal to paper. 3. You don’t add an egg or any animal product (including dairy) and call it a veggie burger

1. Sometimes you want to spend a long time on a nice meal. 2. In reality, there is much more nutrients that remains in cooked greens when it’s not over cooked and not just the liquid. I don’t think you realize that. 3. People can call this a veggie burger, it’s not a vegan burger. Vegetarians can eat animal products like egg and dairy #shocker
