I'd like to thank Michael Snyder for bringing the best weather reportage to a discerning audience. Some of the comments on main stream media coverage of the fires in LA are truly sickening. The complete and total lack of empathy, and lack of actual understanding what is going on, has caused the blame game to run wild! My sister is in Burbank and so far she has been extremely lucky, with fires to the East, West and South. My sympathy goes out to all the people and animals affected by these horrible fires. Keep up the good work Michael!

Hey Mike love the show. I’m south of Tahoe at 7500’ and appreciate the detail you provide. Wind + Heat = Blow Drier

I remember some abrupt weather changes in Southern California where the fog would be thick and a Santa Ana winds 50 MPH + would blow the fog out in a couple of minutes and raise the temperature by 30 degrees in minutes.

Agreed! It can be nearly instantaneous! I've seen that, and the opposite occasionally, especially in Orange County!

Here in Hemet this morning I could not see the end of the driveway because of the fog, then the wind blew it all away before my coffee was finished brewing.

One good storm/soaking in the past 2 months could have prevented or at least mitigated the devastation of the Palisades and Eaton fires. it's really sad seeing all of the homes destroyed

When you say prepare and pack a go bag you mean business. Here in 29 palms the wind is still howling.

Thank you for the update. I've had a good deal of fire fighting experience during my time with the US Forest Service (Montana, 1988 was my first "big" season), so I'm a bit of a fire junkie. The situation in LA right now is a horrific disaster, just heartbreaking for the people and animals down there. Sad to see that the winds are going to continue for awhile more, they won't start to get a handle on it until those Santa Anas relax, and the lack of rain is not helping!

Absolutely tragic situation down in the LA area. Hopefully things can be brought more under control as winds lessen, and nothing else sparks up

Thank you Michael. This is not the forecast the folks in SoCal were hoping for. So heartbreaking❣️🙏🏻❣️

I am really keeping my fingers crossed for a pattern change soon. I love the nice weather we’re having here in Northern California, but we need the rain to return soon. Hopefully towards the end of the month that will change. My thoughts are definitely with my friends and family in Southern California with the devastation down there. I’m hoping they get some rain at some point. Thanks for the updates as always Michael! For now, I am soaking up the sun. As you know, things can change quickly this time of year!

Reservoirs at capacity were good standing water everywhere too.
@tylershepard42692 сағат бұрын
@@bitkrusher5948 Seeing the reservoirs somewhat full is a good thing to see, but that is far from the full California water story. It has happened in the past where we started December off wet, and then Mother Nature shut off the taps after January 1st and we entered into severe drought.

Crazy, yesterday it was snowing (falling ash) air quality was bad kept getting congestions, hopefully a powerful low comes and gets rid of this air quality and brings rain & snow

What a horrible loss. Entire towns are gone. I feel really bad for people who lost their homes, I would like to see them rebuild everything but it's going to require a change of leadership in LA and at the governor level. Sorry to get political, but it's true. Who else is tired of watching this state circle the drain.

Is it possible some of the smoke from the LA area fires is being circulated down around and then up into Northern California? It smelled like smoke here this morning and like wildfire smoke. Not just from wood stoves. 🤔

We should have less firefighters here in California, it’s working out great. That -$17 million and no water flow is also doing a bang up job.

So suddenly this mid morning the strong winds are blasting Palm Springs🌴🌵🌬️I’d say gusts to 40. Umbrellas launched at the coffee shop patio and I came home. Lots of dust in the air now. This wasn’t called for….but I guess no one can predict the localization of these wind storms….☀️👋🏻 PS, it is pronounced Yuck-uh Valley (without the Spanish accent) 😉

Tragic, but at least these entitled celebs have full insurance and own several homes. The celebritites are getting so much attention, but they didn’t say a word when entire communities in NC and SC were wiped out. Those people are still living in tents with freezing temps and snow, while these celebs complain because the Beverly Hills Hilton is booked up.
@jammasound13 сағат бұрын
You actually think it's an entire town filled with nothing but celebrities? Firefighters, teachers, blue collar people all live there. People have retired and lived in those communities for decades, long before it became expensive from "celebs" moving in. They lost everything, and you cannot insure your home in these areas against fire, it's 100% up to the city to prevent tragedies like this.

Oh but soon the shtf everywhere and they will not be a worry 😂
@holdmybeer123Сағат бұрын
Is it just a coincidence that all wildfires are on public lands. Or is it wilful negligence of duty? They sue individuals for starting forest fires but can they be sued for not maintaining public lands, allowing the fires to be spread on private lands?
