Don't necessarily believe the first husband that there was something going on between him and the mother. Those words may have been said out of spite. The wife offers no real tangible proof as in texts messages, screenshots, she caught them in the act,etc.The mother denies it, and so it comes down to he said she said. If the wife suspected something, then why didn't she take the time to do a little detective work. If she would try to use this as evidence in a divorce, then more likely it wouldn't stand up.

Just eww! I know a woman who had a child with her daughter’s husband. Everyone saw she was pregnant but she refused to say who the father was UNTIL after she had the baby. Mind you. Her daughter and son-in-law had been trying for years to have a child. It ripped the family apart. This shameless woman told her daughter that she isn’t the only one who should have “good things”. The son-in-law is a wealthy douche bag. The “child” will be in her 30’s now. The whole thing was just sordid.

Yeah, I was that too for my ex-husband... we were young when we got pregnant (I was 17 almost 18 and he was 20) and I got married while pregnant... fast forward I find things and it's like a gut punch... I was so confused and lost... I stuck around for a little while to try to make it work for our daughter but he was also abusive... so I left without warning early one morning right after he left for work.

Friend was super supportive of the transition, but ex started saying a lot of terrible things about them. It's really hard to listen to my friend now because they will express their bitterness and anger at what happened and then get angry at themselves for not being an ally. I'm sorry. I don't know how a mother could be so jealous and competitive with her own daughter. Good mothers are simply proud of their daughters. Just know, she did it because she sees your worth and beauty and wishes she was more like you. She thinks messing with your man is evidence that she has value too. I think you should just try to focus on that, so you can feel sorrow for her instead of anger. But, I don't think you should ever reconnect with her. I'm flabbergasted by the first one. The mother was definitely the most at fault there. That's an outright betrayal. Trying to understand the mindset that lady's mother was in is impossible for me. I keep thinking of the time my friend's (now ex-) boyfriend hit on me- that made me almost the angriest I have ever been, and I am disgusted by the thought of him to this day. I think that if my daughter's husband tried to hook up with me, I would probably beat the hell out of him. I would just be so angry that he would dare try to cheat on my daughter, and to a lesser degree insulted that he would think I would do something so rotten. I think I would put him in hospital.

I remember when I had this one job we were talking at work about how old we were. I was in my 30s. One of the younger women was trying to determine why I looked younger than I was. I told her I stayed out of the sun, I didn't smoke, and I slept usually 8 hours a night. I also drank water more than any other fluids. But she didn't think I looked younger because of those reasons. Then she asked if I was ever married or had kids. The answer was no. She said that was the reason I looked young. 🤣 So I don't know if being a wife and mother ages you, but she was convinced that was why. 🤷‍♀️

Have the hard conversations about compatibility with your partner before you get married. I walked in on my partner of 9 years and my niece in the midst of her riding him like a bucking bronco.... (she was mid 20s and also my best friend) She got pregnant, he hung himself, my father set fire to his house on the day of my partner's funeral and died 10 days later.
