DAY 98. 100DOD "CALL NO ONE FATHER" || WHO IS A SPIRITUAL FATHER Is it biblical to have spiritual fathers or to have a spiritual father? And so, to answer this question, there are two different audiences to address regarding this issue? a.) The pastors: Your mind must be the mind of christ. Matthew 20:25-27. It's a God-given privilege to serve. Nobody you're pastoring is beneath you. Measure greatness and influence by service. John 20:17. As we navigate the subject of fatherhood, we must understand the subject of context. b.) The audience: Your pastor is your servant, brother, and father in the Lord, and we mean that contextually, i.e., he is supposed to be your prototype. Not your life wire, just like Abraham has a fatherhood significance to all saints. Galatians 3:6, 1 Corinthians 11:1. The one responsible for your doctrinal maturity is your spiritual father. In some context, he is your servant and even brother as well. The text Matthew 23:9 has been misunderstood when it says "call no man father" but in essence, it is talking about the hypocritical leadership of the pharisees and sadducees that put themselves in an undeserved spiritual pedestal. If Jesus meant Matthew 23:9 literally, then that means all the disciples disobeyed. Paul called people spiritual sons. Galatians 4:19. 1 Peter 5:13.

Thank you for clearing that Air Pastey🙌🙏 But i have question in my heart for too long...so my pastor is a spiritual man...a good man! We were very close at some point but recently i find it hard to reach out to Him concerning my struggles and i don't do it intentionally but anytime i want to reach out i feel a restraint..and it's always strong! Now he is just looking at me like i don't want to be pastored by him anymore... others feel i don't have reverence or respect to pastorate if i don't flood their office with issues but i am a lady greatly helped by God! And i promised God to follow through with HIS instructions since last year! So maybe,i follow God's instructions my pastor/pastors should not have a problem with it now since they hear him too?
