Just love the music. So eerie, suspenseful, horrifying and macabre. Thank you HP Lovecraft for giving us true horror of the century

Even though H.P Lovecraft eas kanda a dumbass, he still managed to strike inspiration from his books. He was the master of psychological horror.

@@thecartofvideos4766 he wasn't stupid, as Alan Moore brilliantly put it, despite his staunch traditionalism he was essentially an unorthodox modernist writer, and "hated quantum physics, but *almost* understood it". He also learned to read and write from a very young age, he didn't do well in high school (probably due to mental health issues and panic attacks), and didn't get into college, but he was clearly very well educated... also overlooked that the deliberate archaisms in his writing wasn't just contrived or pretentious, he just hated Americanisms and what they were doing to the English language...

You can really feel the horror and madness

You can feel the tension, the insanity of Lovecraft's world (or worlds?) behind the gossamer-like fabric of logic in this one. Masterfully done.

Imagine how scary it would be being there hearing this music and seeing fog and lightning in the distance and whenever lightning strikes you can see a giant god like creature from the distance

The game does one better - near the end, you can observe massive tentacles off in the distance rising from the ocean: as they flail about, the sky is torn open for a few moments and you can see a glimpse of distant galaxies - a true testament to the unearthly power of this being!

Imagine standing where Pierces is... gazing into the eyes of an almost incomprehensible entity, without suffering the fate of others who would do the same.

Maybe its auto suggestion but i cant stop picturing a dark sea just before a mad storm. You can almost smell the sea and the rain and feel the cold spray. The soundtrack in this game is spot on!

The cold bitter, air screaming towards the coast, with thunder echoing through the clouds, leaving you to the mercy of the elements, and to what ever sinister things your mind can conjure...

Never even played the game but watched IGP play it and I loved it. Now I’m hooked on H.P. Lovecraft and will probably get a few of his books.

You might wanna look into the call of cthulhu roleplaying game too. I always look for Call Of Cthulhu games on roll 20. Unfortunately they are all single episode adventures but i keep hoping to find a dedicated group for a long campaign of many games.

I listened to it, but it wasn't better. The two games are different, as is music. It fits into this world of this game. Like the music of the other. In this respect, both are appropriate. It is bad if we want to compete with them, when there is little time difference between the two.

Yes, what this game needed was definitely some shitty out of place music to set the mood.
