Came here because of TikTok. This was great work. I felt the emotion of the robot and his wanting to not be alone. Thanks! 😊

Really?! TikTok? I had no idea. I really appreciate you coming by to watch the short. You make these things just because you have a story you want to tell. It usually feels like they exist in a void. I'm thrilled you found it and enjoyed it. Thank you for the comment too!

I realize that it's supposed to be a dramatic post-apocalyptic sci-fi short film but couldn't get over the similarity of the cyborg's metallic face and that of the T-800 from The Terminator franchise. Having it have human feelings like loneliness and empathy made it seem more human but in the end it's still a machine only mimicking human emotions. Nice humorous touch when it put the plastic bucket on its head after drawing a smiley face on it in order to not frighten the young girl away from it. Nicely done Jason.

im gonna slightly dissagree ,because if you noticed he recognized himself when he was looking at mirror waving playful his hand ,since he can regognize himself there is a level of emotional intelligence

Thank you very much for your kind comment! This short was a lot of fun to make. It's the kind of story you know you'd never be able to afford traditionally (I mean, that first scene alone...) so I'm incredibly grateful to real time animation for allowing me to create these experiments. @@cinemonstervids Absolutely my pleasure! I use a similar combo of daz/iclone and occasionally UE - no small feat making something that looks this good, I'm sure. Looking forward to the next one!

@@MirrorValley You know it's all about experimentation. Some things work. Some things don't. As the engine and software get better, we'll be able to do more. This is why I don't obsess about the technical limitations of working with UE/iClone/Daz. I just try to tell interesting stories and the tech will catch up, I'm sure. You just keep pushing it...with varying degrees of success. :)
