I was playing this mission. I was humming downfall at the beginning because the last cod game I played before this was world at war and seeing Dimitri reminded me of that game. I started freaking out like a child when 6:30 came on

+Jaikie Perry-Sloan There was a PS2 version of WaW? O_o
@jaikieperry-sloan46617 жыл бұрын
The ps2 had it's own game with a separate story. As the console was underpowered, a new game was built for it, it wasn't great.

2:23 Good Old Nostalgia Soundtrack from WaW i love it
@Thedruid730 Жыл бұрын
0:00 till 2:23 is actually a easter egg from True Crime New York city, you can hear this part of the soundtrack in some parts of the game, its cool that Sean Murray years later revived this.

Who would of thought the MTD was capable of time travel, how many stations does this group have? Where did that little girl disappear to? Reznov: "Fortune smiles on us. In Berlin, the Germans will truly see what they have unleashed. But in the midst of all the blood, the bullets, and the dead... I found that an old friend was still very much alive - Dimitri Petrenko. I saw this man cheat death, time after time at the siege of Stalingrad. As long as he lives, the heart of this army can never be broken. He makes us all proud." Chernov: "April 30, 1945: When he first spoke of Dimitri, Reznov told tales of a hero, someone we should all aspire to be like. His bravery on the battlefield is beyond question, but he has also shown mercy amidst the brutality of the Red Army. He is indeed a hero." Reznov: "Dimitri Petrenko was a Hero. He deserved a hero’s death. He died for nothing... like a animal."

You must decide; decide what you think is worth fighting for. Dragovich, Kravchenko, Steiner, This, 'MEN', must die.

"Dimitri Petrenko was one of the bravest men I had ever known. He fought by my side from the siege of Stalingrad to the fall of Berlin. The wounds he sustained ensuring our victory should have earned him a hero's welcome to Russia... But Stalin had little need for heroes." "Dimitri Petrenko was a hero... He deserved a hero's death. Instead of giving his life for the glory of the motherland, he died for nothing... like an animal. He should have died in Berlin..."

My father was a musician in Stalingrad. During the German occupation, the sound of his violin filled the air with magnificent music - Korsakov, Stasov - many of the great nationalist composers. To my countrymen, it was a symbol of hope. To the Germans, it was a symbol of defiance.
