Ahead of the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 release, let's dive into the original Black Ops campaign. In the fifth mission, we'll join protagonist Alex Mason as he meets CIA agent Jason Hudson and is debriefed on how the CIA ceded control of covert operations in Southeast Asia to the U.S. Military back in 1964, leading to the birth of MACV-SOG. The S.O.G. team is now tasked with defending Khe Sanh after receiving intelligence of possible Soviet involvement in Vietnam.
