@Cod/twd gaming Then you're a cold, heartless bastard who's deluded himself into thinking he did the moral thing. An eye for an eye and the world goes blind. You're just breeding more killers that way. There's a likely chance that kid will want revenge not just cause you murdered his dad, who was a prisoner of war and that is a war crime to do so, but because you psychologically fucked him and his mom up. Loved this interrogation scene, the Butcher was built up as this monster who has no problems with killing kids and and throwing grenades on civilians but shits his pants when his wife and son were used against him. Shows how "human" he is. Although I cant help bu feel MW was being pretentious when they marketed this game as crossing lines but forces you to do the "right" thing. I guess they weren't mature enough to pull the stuff Spec Ops: The Line pulled, that game made you live with the consequences of your actions and showed you how awful a person you are when no ones looking.
@superking-nicolaslucau7252 Жыл бұрын
Lol no. I'm a HUGE Spec Ops TL fan but MW is way harsher. In SOTL the whole point is that you don't know you're doing awful things as you always have a reason, an excuse or you're blinded from the truth. You bomb civilians without knowing they were there, you shoot the mob to avenge Yugo, you steal water to weaken the enemy. It's only at the end that the shock happens, when you find out the truth, not during actual gameplay. What the game pulled off was to blind the player from any form of common sense so he could perform actions that made no sense without questioning them. MW doest play such mind games and puts you right into the cold, harsh, almost evil reality.
@howdoichangemyusername9802 Жыл бұрын
@@superking-nicolaslucau7252 there’s a video that proves you’re point wrong. Spec Ops forces you to confront the fact you killed innocents but Walker attempts to rationalize it only show his growing insanity, with the game also becoming increasingly hostile towards the player. The loading screen’s quotes go from general knowledge to confrontational. The ending is to only show that all your efforts to justify what you’ve done were pointless. The white phosphorus, the killing of civilians, all of it wouldn’t have happened if the player stopped and put the controller down (hence the flashbacks). The player at first thinks that finding Konrad will yield some affect that the player’s actions will amount to something only to be met with a mirror and to decide and decide our character’s fate after everything you’ve done.

Okay, I’m impressed, I thought they would’ve been too afraid to stir up controversy, too afraid to top what they did with No Russian but goddamn I was wrong.
@eastwaters40825 жыл бұрын
*LMAO* They didn't top anything at all, they used his family as leverage. No Russian was chaotic and unseen for its day because mass shootings were rare.
@mesner5x5 жыл бұрын
Wonder Guy I wasn’t particularly just talking about this scene, but about the campaign as a whole. Though this scene still is insane to a player because we were so used to being the good guys. Killing the bad guys and saving the day. This scene blurs those lines between good and evil. Top may have been too strong of a description, since it’d be hard to top something as controversial as No Russian. However you’d have to be blind if you don’t see anything that reminds you of the old Call of Duty with these scenes. They’re gritty, they’re chaotic, exactly how Call of Duty used to be. Take a look at these scenes and compare that to whatever monstrosity they turned Black Ops 4 into. It may not be as controversial or over-the-top, but this is definitely a shift in the right direction in terms of the tone and feeling of Call of Duty.

The dialogue for the son and wife is constant, and I couldn’t bring myself to it due to the wails of the mother and child. This game doesn’t desensitise violence, it doesn’t make you feel good about anything. That’s what’s so brilliant about this game, it was made to be controversial so people could realise how awful these things are. This game was also released at a good time seeming as we might be about to go into ww3. See you in the trenches gamers
