The atmosphere of this game is incredible. Gun shots echoing, artillery screeching, dogs mauling, and a commander screaming at you. Feels so grounded and gritty, which is how a WW2 game should feel.

Honestly. Activision should just focus on remastering the old cods until they can make an actual decent cod. MW 2019 was a step in the right direction but cod is just feeling rushed now a days.

I was 13 back then, i would play this game everyday.. best campaign hands down, addictive multiplayer and zombie mode the way it should be done.. best moments and then i remember he hype build up for mw2, the first teaser and then gameplay trailer everybody going crazy, golden era for COD times ;P

I was in 8th grade when this came out. Can’t believe it’s already been 14 years. WAW and COD4 are still the greatest multiplayer games I’ve ever played. Had so much fun playing with friends and so many laughs. Now I’m 28 completely lost in the world and can barely get up in the mornings.

I got this game Christmas 2008 on the Wii. I was 14. In February of 2009 I got the flu for the second time in four months, and just a week before a week-long break my school system had. This was one of the few things I did those two weeks was play this game. The memories are incredible.

I reconnected with one of my childhood skateboarding friends when Modern Warfare 2019 came out because we both loved WaW/MW2 back in the day, we played MW2019 every night while reminiscing on the old call of duties. One day he stopped signing on and it turns out he overdosed. I didn't even know he was back to using when we played. All we can do is remember the good times

@@djh4112 yeah a monday might be dead, usually weekends not during the wee hours are pretty busy 300-400 people for me in servers easy . in that game the more DLC you have the more games you’ll actually find considering like i said the game leaves them in rotation. make sure your NAT type is open also . other than that ya it is kinda sad to see it on some days dead but i haven’t had too much trouble playing when i find the time to do so
