I just picked up a set of these today. Was hitting 11000 RPM on GC2 with chrome soft balls so I was very exited to get them out on the course. Bottom line, love the forged feel and love the spin on the greens. the 56.13 was amazing out of the bunker and the 60.10 was a ton of fun with flop shots and a nice 85 yard carry with 3 yards of spin back to the hole!!! I love them!!!

All hail crash test Dobby. Arguably the most relevant tester out there for the vast majority of golfers. More please.

Love mid-handicapper reviews, gives me insight on my game. It is nice to watch pros but us mid- handicappers need to see realistic reviews we can relate to.

Also, while I'm getting my game in shape, and am trending back to my "old 12 HC" which still isn't when I was down to a 9, but I had crept up to an 18 (long-winded I know)..I don't hit it like Mr. Potter there on his irons. While I hit my irons and Driver a lot farther, my consistency can be shite at times. Great to see Rob still looking crisp.

Agree with Rob’s Ratings. I have 3 Mack daddy wedges in my bag (50, 54, 58). Looking to add a 4th by replacing my 46* pitching wedge with a Mack daddy as well.

Great review, I have just bought the 56 and 60 in that wedge and love them, it's like cheating they are so easy to hit from the rough and they are without doubt the easiest bunker club I have ever used.

You should check out the 64, it's a spatula. I love em.

The one thing that surprised me about the PM Grind, is that the face doesn't have the milled micro grooves like the other Mack Daddy wedges. Wonder whether Phil Mickelson's own wedges don't have the extra grooves as well or whether they've chosen to remove them from the retail version in case the spin rates actually become difficult to control with all the extra club face size and wait. What are your thoughts Rick?

Hey Rick, how do you feel about the Vice golf balls? I was thinking of buying some for myself. I usually play the Chromesofts.
@miguelaniceto15415 жыл бұрын
Gary Yee I’ve played the Vice. They’re ok but I’ll stick with my Titleist AVX (the ball that replaced the NXT)

I'm not surprised you get more grab on a Gap or SW. See Andrew Rice's article/video on his wedge research. It explains nicely why.

But does it feel as good as my Mizuno MP T-5? I just got a 56 and love it on half shots and full shots. But I like the thought of the toe grooves because sometimes I try to get cute and get it off the toe with some grooves and some on plain toe. Granted that is all my screw up...but...

Good test, but i find it a bit inefficient because of using the same low-ish loft for those specific yardages. the 20 or 50 yard shot you should have used at least a 58 degree or more in my opinion.

13 degrees of bounce is too much for a mat,if the club had less bounce or he was hitting off a tee the performance would be better.
