Bishop Barron is my greatest hero today. He’s profoundly articulate, intelligent and simple at the same time. He explains the scripture like no one. I love him. Bishop Barron, if you’re going to read this, I want you to know that I love you so much. Listening to you has really taught me a lot. I have a better understanding and appreciation of the Word of God. Thank you for making me a better Catholic priest and a better preacher. God bless you.

No one owes this or any other pope allegiance. It's that kind of thinking that started the protestant reformation. Our allegiance is to God and His Word which warns us of an antichrist to come. Antichrist, not meaning ''against Christ'' but one who sits in ''place of Christ''. Bible prophecy is clear....the papacy/papal system is the antichrist. Do you think it odd that not once have you confirm your allegiance to Christ? No, the papal system with the pope as its leader is exactly what prophecy said it is...the little horn of Daniel 7, the 2nd beast of Rev 13, the harlot of Rev 17! And to the world the Lord says..... ''with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast (papacy) and receive his mark (sunday worship) in his forehead (thinking), or in his hand, the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; “Come out of her, My people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues. For her sins are piled up to heaven, and God has remembered her iniquities.'' Rev 13:9-10, Rev 18

Bishop Barron, thank you: you have answered many questions in my mind. This type is speech should happen in universities to help people reclaim their faith. What has happened to the world is a lot of noise about commerce, merchandising, science and tech which creates wonders and at times illusions that attract people. But these often come at a cost (not just money, but on things like environment, health etc). So the challenge is for God's words to be heard again and reinforced. You excel in this. May God protect you.

Thank you seems so trivial , but it’s from the bottom of my heart.

Bishop Barron I listen to you a couple of times a week and I was so excited to hear that you were visiting Annapolis. I married the son of a naval Captain George Goetzke and lived in Annapolis at age 21. Your sermon is so intelligent and inspiring. I will share it with as many people. I’m a practicing Catholic who returned to the church in middle life and have been so blessed to have been called home in spirit. I moved to California where I have lived for most of my life. I have a brother in Annapolis and I wish you could meet him. His house burned down two months ago and I encouraged him to rebuild. I hope he builds his ark both figuratively and literally. God bless you father and safe travels home to California.

Brilliant presentation, as always, Bishop Barron. You ended it appropriately by not merely accepting the USMA jacket but donning it as a sign of gratitude for being invited to speak but also of acceptance in another community which dedicates itself in service to God & country. May the other branches of the US military follow suit for, oh, the Scripture stories you will weave for THEM, too! For those without military background, your words resonate with the universal primary call: mission! God bless WoF and all your study, piety and action.

This talk uncovered the core reason of my faith: As Jonah in the belly of the fish, Jesus’s battle against the dark powers of death culminates in his complete surrender to the darkness of human violence to the point of total helplessness. Yet, He still relied on God. I can believe in and rely on such a God: a God whose way to overcome death involved suffering it helplessly to its darkest depth without ever touching human freedom to exert such a dark violence onto Him to a point of spewing me onto a reign of life everlasting. It would be metaphysically illogical to withhold faith in such a God. Levis Shalom
