Trade Vuc and the blazers pick for Myles Turner or Jakob Poetl? They need a rim protector and need to bench Pat Will and start Javonte. Ayo has been a disappointment because they need him to playmake more to make the offense easier for guys like Lavine like lonzo did but he hasn’t and his scoring isn’t good enough for it to be fine. Derrick Jones Jr. Javonte and Caruso is like there best lineup because of the energy they play. But it’s hard because that means your benching 2 of the 3 highest paid players in Vuc and Lavine

@@uncledrosselmeyer6480 Yea Vuc has played well but there defense would be so much better if they just had a rim protector like Myles Turner of Jakob Poetl to lean on when they get drove by which will happen when Lavine and Demar who aren’t defenders are playing 35+ minutes most nights. They could use a wing shooter but for most of it its fine. Pat Will, Lavine, Vuc, Caruso, Dragic, and White can all shoot they just aren’t hitting right now but will eventually.

The Bulls 3 best players are slow it down, ball dominant players when they’re at their best. The rest of the team is at it’s best when they’re playing fast. We don’t have enough size, so we often have to go to small ball lineups but don’t have enough good shooters to make that work in our favor. Good teams find synergy. I think part of the reason for the offensive stagnation of the “big 3” is that I believe the goal when trading for demar was to get the sa version of him that could give you 21 and 8 and be a bit more of a connecting piece as a secondary playmaker behind lonzo which the Chi offense needed more then just a scorer Imo. They always had scoring even before demar and vooch got there they were just down playmaking and ball movement but since demar isn’t helping with that rn, the offensive is continuing to be predictable and less portable then it was supposed to be

If I were the Bulls GM I would try to trade Vucevic and maybe Coby White for Poeltl, J. Richardson and McDermott and maybe like a few second picks aswell. I think the Spurs would accept that because maybe Vuc could do the same he did at Orlando and then trade him again and get even more in a future trade like CP3 at the Thunder when he got traded to the Suns. And in that trade the Bulls would get a solid defensive center and good rotational players.

I know that you probably won't see this Kenny, but I've been a loyal Bulls fan for as long as I've known what basketball was just like you Kenny, since the 12-13 season. Aside from those three great years of winning basketball games, seeing everything unfold and so many what if's, injuries and drama, Bulls basketball has never been the same. At this point, I am tired of watching this organisation fall down, it feels like bad decision after bad decision and the front office seems to never know what they are doing. I think as a Chicago fan speaking for everyone, we just want to see the Bulls win games and compete consistently. That doesn't necessarily mean winning championships like the good old 90's teams (although it would be nice). But, its tiring after that 14-15 season of just getting so up about the team just to watch them fall over and over and over for the last 7-8 years. Kenny can you please be the general manger or something in the front office of this organisation please. It becoming far to frustrating to watch, the whole team just needs to be reshuffled and completely fixed.

I don’t understand after countless amount of momentum changes coming off of one of his terrible turnovers or shots. His ability to stay in front of his man on defense is even worse, I don’t see anything in his play for my team to be like, “ yep, let’s just keep playing him” with this recent play of Lamar and I’ve always liked him because of his defense he can score but he doesn’t try to do too much. Considering the Bulls were my original team, before I switched to New Orleans back in 07-08, I've always followed the franchise closely., particularly during the Rose years. (Man, I wish the WGN nationwide broadcasts were still a thing.) The issue for the Bulls is that they overpaid for Vucevic and Lonzo. For Vucevic, the Bulls didn't put adequate protections on the picks. A Pair of 15th overalls in 3 years would have been fair. A pair of 5th overalls in three was not. (The first pick was 8th overall, but the point stands.) With all the recent transactions, I think we're going to start seeing teams demanding top-10/lottery protections on traded firsts, unless they're trading for the best of the best. (Or the changing of those first round picks to swaps.) On top of that, they have a significant amount of money invested in Lonzo without any of the injury protections. They should have asked themselves why the Pelicans were willing to part ways with him for the expiring Satornasky, Garrett Temple, and a 2024 2nd. (Even Though it was a S&T.), and I get it, the qualifying offer set a lower bound on what Lonzo would sign, but you counterbalance the injury protections (and non-guaranteed money) by increasing the ceiling of the contract.

As a Bulls fan I was basically in the "let's chill it's been a rough few games" mindset until last night. We need to trade someone. Vuc would be preferable, and just give up on a "Big Three" idea. We need someone who is just big and can play defense, forget scoring. Billy also needs to go. The team is turning on him and he's clearly unsure what needs to be done. Billy strikes me as a coach who works best when he has one star and a bunch of role players who he can use to maximize that star. Right now his endless iso ball plays with DeMar and Zach is a losing gameplan and getting someone who can focus the team into running actual plays and build on having the team move more on offense is key.

Vuc is the easiest player to blame. When IMO it’s PG play early in the season when they were playing more 5 out he was open in the paint and without anyone who can actually make a decent post entry besides Ayo who doesn’t have the ball enough Dragic and Caruso he veers to the perimeter and becomes disengaged on both ends. Also a Pg has to be able to tell Demarr and Zach no occasionally.

DeRozan is 33 & value at the highest it’ll be & Vuc is 32. Best to just trade them both instead of letting Vuc walk for nothing in FA & just try to get your pick in the top 4. Then have Zo, Lavine, Ayo, Pat Will & the top 4 pick as your core going forward. Maybe sign & trade White. Right now they’re stuck in purgatory. Ain’t bad enough to get a top 5 pick & ain’t good enough to compete for a title so the pick gonna be in the mid/late teens. DeRozan & Vuc can get you a few FRP’s & retool the roster. Can get off their big contracts & have cap space to go after someone else in FA. Not a Bulls fan & I can be way off, but it seems like Lavine isn’t happy having to be second fiddle to DeRozan & wants to be the #1 option instead of being the 2nd or 1B.

The Bulls got as far as they did because Derozan was playing MVP ball for a few months. Once he stopped, the entire thing went into the toilet. They made no significant changes in the offseason, so this is exactly what I thought they would be. They need a new direction with actual players to build around for the future and a coach that actually coaches. And that isn't even really an insane dig at Donovan, but more at the quality of coaching in the NBA today. There are very few guys who seem to have a clue how to develop players and put them in position to shine or to maximize the teams talent and scheme out wins against superior teams. Donovan, like most NBA coaches, has relied almost entirely on stars playing like stars throughout his career, he's not a brilliant basketball mind. So I don't ever see a scenario where he gets this random collection of B tier players to get and start to win consistently.

Trade for Jakob Poetl from the Spurs if you want a defensive center but that would take at least a first which feel bad since you already gave up so much for the guy you wanna replace

Idk if it’s Billy or if we’re just in a slump but I think we’ll get it together by half way through the season when Lonzo comes back

I really do feel bad for the Bulls. After they traded with my Spurs for Demar, I wasn’t sure what they were thinking. The furthest I could see that that team go was a 2nd round bounce and they don’t have a up and coming young guy so I didn’t know where they were going to go and how they would get into contention. It feels like those Pacers teams that were always the 8th seed, forever locked in purgatory
