Pay no attention to the trolls! There will always be posters that only want to spread hate and discontent! You do a great service for people in the Jeep community. Everybody that is rebuilding or working on a Jeep greatly appreciate your videos. I like watching your videos even though I am not working on a Jeep. Keep it up! Tom

It is easy to let these comments and emails eat away at you. Anyone who watches your videos and knows how hard you work, and the extremely high level of quality you turn out and promote, knows your commitment to your craft. That is a very rare thing these days. The rest of us get it. As hard as it is, let it go. You have helped me for sure. Through the videos, as well as your responses to my emails. This is dark underbelly social media.

I personally want to thank you for all you have done. I restored my own jeep (52 m-38) a few years back and your videos were like manna from heaven. You are right about the world changing, it seems like people want everything handed to them. It's not hard to do research such as watching a video. Thank you again for all you have done.

Keep the videos coming Brian, your knowledge and work practices are incredibly helpful. I often wonder how you cram so much into your life, with the shop and the farming. I do jeep work in the uk but have only a fraction of your skills and knowledge. As for the dexters of the world, you don’t need those people in your life. Best of luck trying to get the work/life balance right!

I would just like to say that your videos alone have motivated me to work on my 42 gpw diffs, knuckles, and, trans. I am 30ys old, have minimal experience, work full time, but with your help I have found the motivation to tackle them by myself. I have watched all of those videos multiple times along the process. VERY HELPFUL stuff if you pay attention like you said. Any questions someone might have can be found on the g503 forum or others of the like. Keep putting out great stuff because there are tons of us out there who REALLY appreciate it even though you may not hear from us! Thanks alot and keep doing what your doing!

Brian, As someone who has had a passion for old jeeps since the late 60's and has owned a few including flat fenders please don't stop doing what you are doing your information is invaluable. I am also a one man operation and have been for 40 years and I can say don't be afraid to burn a few bridges it can be very cathartic. These days people seem to think that just because they are paying you for something they think they own you. You are much better off without those customers and without them you will sleep much better. Just my 2 cents.

Best thing to do with the instant gratification crybaby nonsense is to just ignore them and let them be miserable on their own. What you do for this community is absolutely priceless and trolls like that deserve to be shunned if they don’t appreciate you. That being said, I just rebuilt my T90 using your info and am now moving to my D18, so I’ll be contacting you soon for some of those lubricants. Thank you for all the incredible content and knowledge!!

I have learned a tremendous amount from your videos. I’m thankful for the content you have put out. I bought my first vehicle when I was 20, a CJ-3A. I then went to Sears and bought a basic tool kit, read the service manual that came with the truck cover to cover and then got it running. Twenty nine years later I still have my Jeep. I’m never happier than when I’m in the garage covered in grease fixing my old vehicles. I fix as much as I can myself. Much of the joy in my life has been because of selfless people like yourself.

Short answer- no you do not "take" from anyone with these videos. I'm not even a jeepie necessarily, but I like the content. I especially enjoy the panel making sessions. You are correct - you don't need customers like that. Water off the ducks back bud, ignore trolls and instant attention/gratification people. Thanks for sharing

Brian, you have proven time and again that you care about what you do as well as all your viewers. I have never felt misled or "cheated" by any of your content. You are nothing but a wealth of knowledge to myself and the flat fender community. I have been restoring and working on flat fenders for the last 20 years and I thought I knew a lot until I found your channel, then I realized I haven't even scratched the surface. The world today is full of idiots, please do not be discouraged by one person who thinks he was cheated. Keep up the good work, all of your videos are excellent.

Hi Santa Brian! I’m so sorry that some guys ain’t worth the lead, ya know what I mean. I look forward to ALL of you videos, I think of your channel as a doctoral course in all things Jeep! I bought my Jeep because I want to do what I’ve learned from you and your channel. Jeeps are so incredibly adaptable to what we need them to do. They tough, dependable, reliable when maintained. They are classics from our past. As I’ve said in the past I wish I was a young fella looking for a trade, I would so want to apprentice with you to learn what you know and continue this important calling. Please continue making videos, but I understand what it takes to share you knowledge. Life would be easier for you I get it. Thank you for all you share, you are not a taker dexter is a turd!!!! Listen, I have a '79 CJ7. I had to go through the front end and replace all the ball joints etc. Your video helped me immensely. You are basically the only person that really put out a video on this start to finish and excellently detailed information that proved priceless. I have watched a few other videos and I can say, when you cover every component and give real world experienced advice, no one else does this really. To find someone that does what you do is extremely rare, or I'll just say it, down right almost impossible. I have mechanical ability and experience, but there are things, like types of bolts, nuts etc that I am not up on and would rather learn it from you and put it together once than have to tear it back apart later because the wrong hardware was used. That is the kind of detail I can find in your videos that is so priceless. I hope you keep making videos, to give knowledge is a special privilege that only those like yourself should be giving out and to get this for free is amazing in itself. There are some videos out there that just shouldn't be there if you know what I mean. But your videos are just awesome. I hope you keep doing them.

I watch your videos most of them are the longer in depth videos and I view them repeatedly. It is not just for knowledge but for your museum quality detail. Ive often wanted to ask if you sell kit's such as the cj5 clutch shaft and pillow blocks. That is genius but for my project would have to attach to sm420 gearbox. I tell everyone that aspires to be a mechanic to take a look at your art work or works of art more appropriately. Please dont let people that are having a bad day control the type of day you will have. Their are a lot more of us that will bid you a good than those that have a momentary laps of reason. So keep up the fantastic work you do and please have a really great day! I Thank You.

I’m a relatively young DIY’er. I’m currently restoring a 69 CJ5. I deeply appreciate your videos, they have taught me techniques and warned me of frustrations. Bottom line is people who are do’ers are few and far in between and fewer are passing on their knowledge. Without folks like you I would not have the support or know how to tackle this project and my wife would be super pissed that I dropped good money on a pile of rust. Keep up the good work, ignore the jerks, and I would still like to see a T 14 rebuild or know which video to check out to get the gist of the process. I know you have mentioned several times you are having trouble finding locals with the passion and drive to pass on your knowledge and skills, I feel like many are in that boat these days and this is a good platform to pass knowledge over long distance and into the future.

"The world is changing." Yes it is. I believe it IS true that more and more folks have an expectation for instant answers at their fingertips. Sure, it's possible for high volume mainstream businesses to provide that service, but Metalshaper is a "niche" SMALL business. Any rational person should put their "patient" hat on when dealing with a "niche" Willys Jeep shop. For my part, I'm VERY grateful that Metalshapers business exists (Brian saved my broken L134 engine block and machined it back to a rebuildable state...for a super price). Not only that, he makes all these detailed videos. That is a TON of work. The videos are a super valuable resource for anyone. It takes a few minutes to search it, and a few more to comb through them for any particular subject. Jeez....that's part of the fun. All I can say is ignore the unrealistic folks. There are passionate Jeepers who really value what you provide.

Keep the videos coming, engine and transmission content as well. Yes the world is changing, not many old school mechanics left or willing to take on older vehicles. Brian, Your generosity with sharing your knowledge is priceless for those of us who wish to learn about all that is involved in these machines. Please, dont give in to these Jabronis. They’re at a much lower level. Mechanics, Carpenters, plumbers, electricians are all on the verge of extinction. We all need to do our best in handing down our respective skillsets. Your videos are gold in that regard, and have given me the ability to work on my 2A. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything. Keep doing the right thing and we will keep watching! Thank you for all you do.

Your 5 years of content is extremely valuable. Seriously, several online courses worth of content! I appreciate what you do very much. Don’t let the negativity get you down. I used to teach and it was easy to get mad at that one little brat. I’m sure that you have helped create awesome experiences resorting jeeps You certainly have helped me. Keep on with the integrity.

Buddy, your videos are informative and really just a joy to watch. I have to be honest, your probably the foremost expert with these old Jeeps in the world. I would love to be financially solvent enough to bring my old family passed down Willys to you to go crazy with because I know you would do it better than anyone else but unfortunately I'm a Pipeliner and my job has gone to crap on me. So.....with that being said, all the information you are kind enough to freely provide it is a huge help to me in keeping the ol girl alive. Thanks a Million and don't let the negative people get you down because guys like me appreciate you and your knowledge more than you'll ever know. Thanks again

Brian please don't change a thing. You and Maria have keep me company through some of my worst times with some health problems.. l am about 2 hours from you here in Vt., and can't wait for the time that I can get my 42 gpw engine to you for a refresh. You not only show us what is the right thing to do, but also show us what we have done wrong in the past with our jeeps. A holes like Dexter will have you talking to yourself if you let them. Hi Brian, I’m 64 years old and although I’ve been building hot rods for years I am new to the Willys world. I purchased a 49 truck about 4 months ago. Your videos are very helpful and I very much appreciate you! Working on restoring brakes right now and I have needed your help with rear hubs etc. I will need some lubricants eventually. Thanks again for your videos, Don’t worry about those guys that just want to piss and moan! Dave Hawver

Thanks for your video efforts .... I don't see much of this quality content out there. It's a huge help with my confidence working on my own never-ending jeep project. I copied your axle seal setting tool. You've answered what email questions I've sent, and my lube purchase went without a hitch. You're a great resource for me, and an even greater inspiration. Do what you need to do to stay healthy and manage stress. Thanks again.

Please continue making videos! I rebuilt my Ross box using your videos and I (and another stock jeep) would have been LOST without it. I also bought your steering lube and couldn't be happier. I recommend your videos and products to everyone I can. Please, please, please continue to be a shining light for the community. Without this knowledge getting passed down, Willys jeeps will become a memory. Not all of us young or new guys are bad or have that attitude. I have MASSIVE respect for you and what you do and I'll be studying your videos in the months to come as the projects are starting to mount! 'Dexter' can get F'd!!!

Keep making videos Brain, ignore the crap that waste your time. I like the long videos and short ones, the level of detail is right, do what makes sense. Some people will never get it, others appreciate the content and learn. Thanks for hanging in there.

It is getting to be that people want something for nothing and are getting angry when they don't get it. I am could be one of the few that is in deep up to my elbows restoring my own willys wagon and looking at a lot of pride knowing that I know everything possible about my ride, every nut, bolt, cable. Thank you for your videos and explanations.

Hi Brian your channel is definitely the bench mark when it comes to content on early jeeps, part of the problem today is a lot of people think they can watch something and are experts straight away and comment negatively with no respect for the person doing the job. They don’t stop to think that the person showing something on video hasn’t already though about all of the options and has chosen the best way forward for themselves. It is the age of entitlement, there entitled to bag someone for what ever reason with no respect shown. Keep up the amazing work the vast majority will always rely on your content to get them though the job. There is no doubt that this is the best early Jeep content in the world, yep the world. Keep it up mate I’ll be relying on your videos to get me through. Cheers Kiffer Seam
