The more weight you add above waterline the worse your boat will perform. If it's not structure your first design criteria is lite as possible

FYI a lot of boats have sliding windows, cabinet doors from glass or acrylic and they just use directly grooves in wood ( or plastic tracks). Yours will slide beautifully I assume! Cheers Warren

The original layout in our boat had sliding acrylic doors as well but they were so stuck that none of them really opened. That’s why we wanted to try something that would avoid any stickiness. Best bet in a sailboat is always the route with least maintenance but I wanted to give these little wheels a try. Hope they last!!
