Wow Matt, that was beautiful. I have no idea why I didn't get the notification about this video, so I'm late in watching it, but Wow! I have always loved the back stories in history and my knowledge always becomes more rounded after watching one of your videos. And this one was truly beautiful. I can't stress enough how much I appreciate all the time invested in the making of each video. It's a lot of hard work and it truly shows in the finished product. I especially appreciate the respect you pay to each individual and the amount of genuine reverence in your narrative. It greatly shows your quality sir. Patiently looking forward to the next installment of this tour. My respects to you. Have a beautiful day my friend.

Thank you for another lovely walk, through another one of Americas peaceful cemeteries. Jackie Coogan was so cute, and he acted superbly in The kid, with Charlie Chaplin It was a good silent movie. With his expressions, no words were needed, the cap he wore almost pulled down over one eye, was sweet. That Noah's Ark was quite the production. Delores Costello was also in The Magnificent Ambersons as Isabelle Amberson. A movie that Orson Welles directed,, One of my 10 most favorite movies. It's nice to see where she is laid to rest.Ronald Reagans parents , I loved Ronald Reagan. He sent me an autographed picture of himself and Nancy which I have framed and sitting on my mantle.Ben Hurs star Ramone Navarro, what a man. Yet another murder victim, so many stars were murdered. Makes one wonder why? Truth like Ted Healy remains buried forever. They stumble and fall just like we all do. the words of your ending is absolutely beautiful.! About our relentless walk toward sunset. It touched me so deeply .

John Coogan Snr at 3:48 - I swear he inspired some of Michael Jackson's moves. Good grief they could dance! Sadly, both went too soon. As for me. I never want to be buried in a hole or a crypt. My son will have me cremated, then spread my ashes out at sea. I want to be free! Finally. Free! And another amazing video. What a journey! Thanks again, from the real Land of Oz!

I just love these fascinating videos of the people in the graves and crypts. I've seen a lot of buildings in my 70 years but this is definitely one of the most beautiful, along with the grounds. What's it all about, you might ask. We come here to this place, we live a life and then we are gone again. Are we just visitors to Earth? So many lives come and go. What can we learn from these lives? Are we here to learn?

Grave Explorations So a quick Google search and one can see he was also a WW2 veteran. He was an officer. One other thing is his grandson is Keith Coogan who is known as the voice of young Tod in The Fox and The Hound. He was also in Adventures in Babysitting. He played Brad who had the crush on Elizabeth Shue. Amazing to think of the generations involved in acting. I didn't really think there were others going as long as the Barrymores.

Thank you so much for these wonderfully informative and entertaining videos. Visiting cemeteries is one of my favorite past-times. It is an opportunity to pay a visit and to pray for the deceased and to look at headstones. Some tell stories, so have photos, some attractive and some obliterated by time. Your videos combine two loves: History and actual photos and footage of the lives of those whom you feature. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Keep up this magnificent work which immortalizes the good and the not so good. God bless you!

As I mentioned in the comments of part 1, Curley,.Shemp, and their parents are buried at the Jewish cemetery across the street from Calvary. I forgot to mentioned that back in the 1970s, when my parents would place flowers at Grandparents graves, I would sometimes explore the Mausoleum and I remember seeing the names of the Costello sisters inside the Mausoleum, on the same wall where Lou Costello is interred. And then their names were no longer there. Just blank stones. I also remember seeing Ethel Barrymore's name next to her brothers, sans the name Colt. I remember that very well.

So true! You bring up an excellent point that I hadn't thought of before. Calvary has 3 different looks. There is the European Style like you mentioned, but there is an old American style with standup headstones, and the modern American memorial park looks. Thanks so much for your comment!

It's sad that child star's parents would waste so much of their children's money. These kids could have had a real comfortable retirement, but the greed of parents ruined that. But one child star, Shirley Temple-her parents invested her money and Shirley Temple had a nice chunk of change when she no longer acted.
