Room 8 has to be my favorite of those talked about. The fact a cat was so punctual as to show up everyday and just hang out, letting who knows how many sticky and heavy hands pet him. He must have been a great comfort to the children on the bad days every student has. That the school welcomed him and worked with/around him? How many children hugged that cat as they cried? How many screams and squeaks and squeals of joy and excitement did he endure for his children? How many stressed-out 'temper-tantrums' and breakdowns did he avert and defuse simply by being there, always there to be petted and stroked no matter what was going wrong? How many stuttered and stumbled over words did he listen to, spoken by children just learning to read or trying to strengthen that skill? It is firmly my belief that animals, especially those with the right temperaments, can work miracles. And Room 8 was one of them,

I have lost 3 dogs in my adulthood. Ginger, Chloe and Domino. When you mentioned the Rainbow Bridge I started crying all over again. I hope to see them soon, especially my little boy Domino. He was 17. I love you all. Ginger was 18 and Chloe was 12. They were both rescued from an animal shelter. On Ginger's last day before going to sleep, I adopted her. She was 8 at the time. She lived another 8 years. All were my babies!

So do I. I have 6 cats over the Rainbow Bridge and I miss each and every one of them. I have two now. I don't know if I'll adopt any more. All the cats, except one, who is buried in his favorite place in the backyard where he soaked up the sun, were cremated and sit in my kitchen window where they can watch the birds. And, though it might seem strange, I talk to them, even though they are no longer with me. They were my 'children' since I wasn't blessed with human ones.

I can’t believe you posted this vid today... my oldest girl dog, Cleo the Shiba Inu, passed away at the ripe old age of 18 years. She was such a trouble maker, mainly escaping any yard or confinement we tried to keep her wrangled up! She was the sweetest Shiba Inu!!! She did a lot of time in doggie jail from her escapades. I swear she had 3 microchips!!! And if any of you have a doggie that likes to escape home, I highly recommend getting them the Home Again program. This saved my family from the heart break of Cleo not being identified and returned to us. Or rather me going to doggie jail to spring her out. She was such a sweet girl and I know she’s with my mini poodle Cocoa that passed away in October from cancer. This last year has broken my heart. Rest In Peace Cleopatra Atencio. Forever loved!!! :,(

I am so sad for you that your beautiful dog has gone to the Rainbow Bridge. No matter how old, we want to keep and hug them forever. I have seen the face of one of my dogs after she'd left me. I saw her laughing face, ears flapping, eyes shining. It was only the next day I realised that she had lost an eye with glaucoma yet here she was, both eyes shining. She just wanted me to know she was whole again and happy. I found this so comforting. I hope you find peace of mind and heart. Warmest wishes.

@@wallys11000 It's funny how rarely we see our own beloved lost pets, yet others do. Bess, the dog who appeared to me had bone cancer unbeknown to us. She damaged her leg but the vet thought it was probably just an injury, although the cancer was then diagnosed. She went downhill rapidly over the next two days. That second day I knew we had to say goodbye. My other dog, Lucy, and I lay with Bess on my bed for hours that day. She loved music, so we played gentle songs and tunes all the time. I held her, stroked her, told her how beautiful and loved she was, over and over. She had been cruelly treated before she came to me. I still wonder if she allowed me to see her because she was so surrounded by our love that day. On the other hand I saw my best friend's cat twice. I often went in to let her dog and new pup out at lunchtimes. Barney, the spirit cat followed me up the path one day then disappeared. The last time I saw him was in 2008. My friend's house had been flooded out in 2007. I went to see to the dogs one day and saw Barney's tail pass down the side of the replacement settee. I think he was inspecting the new furniture!! I always believe when we get a pet they burrow a tiny hole in our hearts. When they say goodbye they curl up in that little hole and become part of us forever. That always comforts me. Your Gigi sounds so gorgeous. Her memory will always remain part of your life and continue to enrich it.

So so true, my partner and i raised Shih Tzu, we had the mom and dad and kept two of the boys from her first litter, they are all gone now, the last boy Baby we just lost at the beginning of this year at 16yo. In between we also rescued animals, mainly parrots, but also have a few Macaws that were born here, and at the age we were at this time, they also will out live us sadly. As far as turtles which we have a pond of Red Eared Sliders, the average life span is 20 to 40 years which a few of them will out live us, but on the other hand we also have three Sulcata Tortoises which will most definitely out live us at an average live span of 80 to 150 years. That being said we do understand that some arrangements will have to be made (soon) due to the fact that we are not an organization, we have done all this for the love of all animals that we could take in and care for, just trying to do our part!

I love this! Thank you so much for taking us on this grave tour of the furry side of Hollywood. My childhood was totally taken over by Lassie and, to this day, she was the first Hollywood star I loved.

Thanks, this made me cry. It takes a lot to make my cry but talking about dogs who have passed can do it.

A horse is a horse of course of course and no one can talk like a horse of course unless the talking horse of course is the talking Mr. Ed. Thank you, Arthur. Brilliant idea.

Thank you for this Arthur. Our pets mean so much to us. I lost my sweet Boston Terrier, last year at age 17, and we are still devastated. I love the idea of Rainbow Bridge and seeing our fur babies someday again. Valentino's dog Kabar's story was so sad. I remember reading about him. He truly adored Rudy and grieved terribly for him. I wouldn't be surprised if some of Curly Howard's dogs are somewhere buried in a pet cemetery. He had many of them and absolutely adored them.

Thank you for sharing the resting places of these beloved animals. As I watched this, my husband is asleep, our dog Andy is snoring on the couch, our cat Grell is curled up in a box on her pillow, and our grandcat Tigger is sleeping on his bed (my stepdaughter’s bed). The box holding our beloved dog Holly’s ashes is on the shelf across from my chair.

I have been a proud subscriber and promoter of your channel since 2016 . I just wanted to thank you for all your hard work and time you put into these videos. The info you put with the markers is both interesting and respectful. You were right to point out that animals held great roles too, often out shining the star. Thanks for adding the stars pets too. This video shows your devotion to keep the ones we lost remembered with the credit and honor they are due. Keep up the good work, I look forward to your next video eagerly.

In the 1950s I watched a show on tv called Circus Boy. Rin Tin Tin was the dog in that show. Mickey Dolenze starred in it. I loved that show. Is this the same dog? Dolenz was later A Monkee in the band The Monkees.

Linda Green The name original “Rinty” was owned by Lee Duncan and Duncan used the name for all his future GSD actors, just as Rudd Weatherwax had several different Lassies. These men “owned” the dog’s names and used younger animals as the original dogs passed.

I so appreciate this channel!! I have seen a lot of grave sites for famous people and they are ok...but yours is entertaining and informative...I love the old music as well and I love every star you show. I am a huge fan of vintage actors and actresses too. I love the Big Band era and wanted to request that as a search for their graves :). Anyway, I am glad that you don't make a scary feel to this channel but an informed one. Thank you !!!! Take care!!!!

What a wonderful journey you have provided. I have had 5 mischievous, fun loving Pugs that have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. I miss them dearly. So thankful they were part of my life and will always be in my heart. Thank you Arthur for reminding us of their importance in our lives.

I can understand your loss. I lost 2 Bichon Frise doggies several years ago from natural causes. They were sisters from the same litter named Snoball and Ruffles. Ruffles was more relaxed and quiet. But Snoball was a real character. She came in from the garage one day with a dirty rag in her mouth. When I took it away, she was not a happy camper. So I gave her a clean one to play with. This became her favorite toy. She even knew to go to the box of clean rags in the garage to get a new one. In Denver in winter, we would get deep snow. I would dig out a "doggie square" so they would have a place to do their "business" without having to deal with the snow. Snoball would jump out of the "square" and wind up at the other side of the yard. (That's where she got the name "Snoball"). Her paws would get frozen and she would rise up like a prairie dog wanting to be rescued. I would trudge through the deep snow (sometimes in my bathrobe and slippers) to retrieve her and bring her back inside the house. Silly dog. I think of them often.

I’m so sorry for your loss Derek. We just lost our furry friend Patches Sept 1st after 20 years. My house is just a house now....not a home. She outlived all our aged dogs. I feel your loss. As for another cat or dog right now...I’m not there....But I’ll keep my heart open. I hope you do too...but we have to grieve for loss of our beloved recent. God bless you.

Another Quality Arthur Dark Production! I didn’t think I would like this installment seeing that it showcased animals but as usual, you make make it all worth watching. Listening to the narratives behind each pet brought back memories of watching the ones I remembered seeing in television shows and movies. Can’t say anything more but thanks Arthur!

I always figured that when Arnold Ziffel's acting days were over, his family enjoyed him immensely. With BBQ sauce. One other note: When asked what he wanted on his tombstone, I'm reasonably certain that Bonzo did NOT reply, "A tail." (Chimpanzees are apes, not monkeys. Apes do not have tails.)

Seeing how much people loved their pets, this video was lovely. Seeing graves of Rin Tin Tin, Mr. Ed, Toto, and many others brought a lump to my throat as I watched them when I was a child. I never knew such large cemeteries existed for pets. Thank you this memorable video.
