I learn so much from this man....and that's because he teaches the BIBLE as it is written, and does not compromise any of his messages in order to "tickle the ears" of those who don't want to hear the truth, but only what makes THEM "feel good".

My love for the word of God is growing by leaps and bounds. My emotions are becoming calm, after decades of depression, anger, and fear of man. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for your life changing Word. That is good news to the lost, the lonely, and the oppressed.

@43:00-following "...from Jerusalem and all the way around to Illyricum..." We definitely would not have known every place Paul placed his foot on his missionary journeys from the New Testament but I think a better explanation is found in Paul's missionary tactic which is found in 2 Timothy 2:2. "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also." Paul spent nearly 3 years at Ephesus living this principle out, multiplying himself in other disicples who took the gospel to every place in between Jerusalem and Illyricum. That's why he could say he he is finished, in this area, not that everyone was reached but that the gospel is rooted now in this area and it will organically continue to spread through faithful followers. Now his heart was to go to Spain where he can do it all over again there with Rome being his supporting and sending church. Great series through Romans. Thanks for sharing.

"Nothing in the New Testament about prohibited food...?" ".... that you abstain from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled...". Acts 15: 29 These were given to get new believers to start them on the road of a sanctified life. Not as works unto salvation, but as fruits of the Spirit.

Is it a sin to attend a homosexual wedding?
@CalvaryABQ2 жыл бұрын
Hello Steven and thank you for watching Calvary Church with Skip Heitzig. While things such as this can become a bit of a gray area. One verse to consider is James 4:17 (NKJV) "Therefore, to him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin." While sometimes we may not have any active intent to sin, to partake and/or be passive in the sinful acts of others is of itself a sin. This does not mean however that we cannot love those around us who identify as a member of the LGBTQ community. We are called to love our neighbors as ourselves Matthew 22:36-40. Hope this helps! Blessings!

@@CalvaryABQ yes I do feel convicted to not attend. I believe I can still love them without sinning with them. Thank you for the scripture
@TheSouthernCross. Жыл бұрын
The only "gray area" here is the response of Calvary ABQ.. If homosexual marriage is a sin, then it would be a sin to show your support by attending the wedding. There is no ambiguity here.
