Hi there thanks for the review, I ordered three. I have made one that I’m happy with but it took three tries and no where near the fit and finish of this one. Good product. BTW, also bought the dado throat plate from Delta for about $45.

Right?!! Haha. I’ve probably sold more of these units for them than anyone. But really, they make a great product and they deserve the praise. I’d love to see how they do it cause I can’t wrap my head around how well they’re made. They must be using some sort of Cnc or shaper device.

These are cool, might buy one. But what about the lip on the back to prevent it from rising up?
@wos3144 жыл бұрын
I didnt receive the instructions on how to install this. Do you literally just take off the riving knife and put the blade up while its running?
@AlexPrivett4 жыл бұрын
yes
@AlexPrivett4 жыл бұрын
Make sure you put the fence over it like in the video do the blade doesn't try to push it up while cutting it. Also you will want to bring the blade up really slowly.

Very nice but 45$ for shipping for 2 inserts! I mean the 2 inserts are 47$???

How do you like the table saw? Do you have a review after having the saw for a while?
@kilki12344 жыл бұрын
What is the purpose / benefit of this?
@diytoolreviews82784 жыл бұрын
Mainly its for preventing thin slices of wood from jamming in between the blade and the throat plate during a cut. It also reduces the amount of tear-out that can happen with a standard insert.

Which saw blade is that ?

I have the same saw and purchased my zero clearance inserts from another person, but my question is, why don't these manufacturers include a zero clearance and a dado blade insert with the saw when you buy it? Add a few bucks to the cost of the saw. Makes sense to me but then, what makes sense to me isn't always what makes sense to others.
@diytoolreviews82783 жыл бұрын
Well, a true "zero clearance" plate needs to be cut with your blade. So it would have to be made from wood. I don't see any reason why they couldn't sell or include a wooden plate with the saw, but this saw is a borderline contractor saw and I don't think many of the buyers are trying to do fine carpentry with it. But your point is a good one, I think the manufacturer should at least sell and option.

I got my three pack and they were garbage! Poorly made, did not fit depth (even with extensive adjustment) and were bowed ..... This is the second time I've gotten these and both time they were not worth the money!

With enough moisture it will…but that is called ‘wet”. Not likely on top of your table saw.

Does he not know that obviously whoever she is that made that MDF plate has a CNC MACHINE that is all done by a computer… all she has to do is scan the original plate, upload it in the software program, make some “adjustments” and then click enter and she can have 200 plates done within hours lol
