Camaro 1970-74 Front floor Pan With Toeboard Part Review Episode 432 Autorestomod
We review the new 1970 1971 1972 1973 1974 Front Floor Section With Toe Boards (C-12901-5BT) (C-12901-6BT) now available from National Parts Depot. We compare them to the originals. We are excited that these pans extend up onto the toe boards to the area just shy of the steering column opening. Look for our install to come soon!

How about a piece of all thread with washers and nuts on both sides of the brake cable hole and use that to adjust the angle of the hole to what you need.

I think the mustache is helping his presenter skills. Maybe he is channeling Ron Burgundy😀

Excited about the install, soon I'll be trying a full pan with toeboard on my 76 Trans Am should be fairly similar. Thanks for the great tips.

My Q is, why can’t these repop Co. stamp the metal parts exactly like the original parts. Today’s technology with laser cad-cam packages could trace out an exact copy with no effort. So is it because GM has Copyright’s on duplications? GM wouldn’t get into stamping them even if they had all the dies cause they just don’t give a hoot about the hobbyist plain and simple.

The pan might be exact. We have to understand that the car that things are pulled from might be a revision, say a '74 in the case of these pans. Chevrolet must have made changes to the floor between '70 and '74. Safer to pull from the last year of that production cycle than to go in the other direction.

If it were an exact copy they'd need to license it from GM (and pay). The minor changes allow it to be free from that issue

I understand that they are trying to save costs by using 20ga metal instead of 18ga but I would gladly pay $20.00 more for it in 18ga metal .

The lighter gauge may have more to do with stamping dies than it has to do with the actual thickness of the metal from a correctness standpoint. The thinner the gauge of metal the longer the dyes will last.

I agree with Craig... I actually need this floorpan for my '73 Camaro. But am much less likely to buy one that isn't the same gauge as the original metal.

Paul I hate my facial hair; the only reason for the Mustache is Movember, and the Men's Health fund raiser. I am growing it to support our cause of getting $200 together for men's health awareness. November 30th I'm shaving it off. Watch the add in the beginning. I even talk about why I am growing it...and that I don't like it.

Tell you what, at the end of November you are ON! I'm not a facial hair guy; this is to raise money for mens health for the Movember Foundation. Check it out in the description below.
