Camaro ZL1 Smashes Big Willow. Porsche Cant Win

This Track is fast and the ZL1 on track really comes alive. We need exhaust right?

Great driving bud. It's hard to push the ZL1 around Big Willow. I was able to pull a 1:34.4 around there in my older 17 ZL1 (non 1LE) but had the Weapon X CAI and full Borla ATAK exhaust system installed along with the 1LE rear spoiler. The car is really quick around there if you get the line right. Also, try the "no lift shift" down the straights, it'll save you another second or two off your overall time on the straights. Got a sub from me bud, had to sell my Z for a 19 GMC Sierra for the family but I'm glad there are others out there that love these cars on the track.

Man ty much for the sub! Thats a really good time you beat me by 1.5 seconds. I def had room for improvement a lot through turn 8 and 9 with speed alone. Hopefully some cooler weather next time. Sorry to hear you had to sell the Z life does that man onto other things. Thnks again for the good words!

@@Hot-1LE I'll get another track toy down the line at any rate. Looking at a nice 08 Z06 as a good alternative to another ZL1, less power, but also less weight which is not to the advantage of the Camaro. Also, when you come down 5 and start into 6, if you get the line right, you can almost hold full throttle through there over the little hill. Feels kind of strange as you rocket over the hill, lose a touch of traction on top but by the time you got to turn 8-9, you're already on the brakes and coasting. 8 should be around 120mph and 9 I was averaging 95 through the apex before the straight. Then it's a rocket ship down the straight till 155-158mph. Loads of fun around that track, lots of speed for sure. Have fun bud and give that "no lift shift" a try, you won't regret it.

@@QueTheChaoticI (the mfer in silver 1LE) did my track insurance through Hagerty, it's between 200-300 bucks for SoCal tracks. I'm confident enough of a driver, but getting fucked out of $50,000 car won't be fun.

love that you're showing what the ZL1 can do on the track ... and that it was MADE for the track, too! most people assume only the ZL1 1LE is ready for the track and while it is *the* most track-capable camaro out there, it by no means is the *only* track-capable camaro out there. after all, look at car & driver's VIR lightning lap times and the ZL1 still beats most exotics.

Dude exactly! I also know a few good drivers that only get two seconds faster on their tracks between the two cars. The zl1 is a track beast and having magride on the way home on these crap roads i drive on daily makes it that much more enjoyable. Very happy with the car I got and appreciate your words bro

on another note, i LOVE hearing that LT4 f**cking screeeeeeam when you have it pinned at redline. i'm still at the break-in period on my ZL1 (500 miles) so can't take it over 4k or 80mph (yet...). XD

As a Red Hot 2018 2SS 1LE owner myself its been great watching you progress on your journey. That Z sounds bad ass the way it is. I dont plan to change anything on mine as there are only 880 of mine. Im tempted to add side skirts. But i truly think these 6th gens are amazing cars. And thank you for getting yours out there and showing what these are made for. 😎
