You know it's sad to say that but maybe they want to daily drive this car ? Here in France , a stripped car might be legal, coilovers MIGHT be tolerated but once you fit a rollcage , your car won't pass inspection and you cannot legaly drive your car without it , and daily driving a car with no insurance ( because they won't cover you in that case if you're caught into an accident) isn't good either .... so , that said, it's stupid but if they can't afford 2 cars and a trailer to haul the track one then it might be why ...

@@trialsbike2135 let me tell you the 2 official explanations there : 1- your car is no more as the maker sell it so , as you can't produce all the engineering papers to homologate it , it's illegal. 2- In the event of a crash with someone else , as cars are designed to absorb the impact , reinforcing your car with a roll cage reduce the amount your car absorb , leaving the other car absorbing it , resulting in more serious injuries to the other driver. tl:dr the repartition of the damages aren't equal , it's not fair , so here's a law for it. so, here in France basically, i can put a rollcage and ride the streets, i don't think cops will bust me on that (but they can) but if I've an accident with it , the insurance can retract , and you're in for a big trouble, big time, you become the one at fault. @@JN-qj9gf I never had a gti6 but I owned an xldt non sport turbo and it was really knowable. Once entered a rounds out on hard lock at silly speeds in my younger days. The passive rear steering. saved me 😂
@adodoes87705 жыл бұрын
Can anyone inform me why does lift off over steer happen? Is it because of the sudden grip on front tyres and weight transfer?
@JN-qj9gf5 жыл бұрын
@@adodoes8770 Pretty much yes. Letting out throttle quick enough to upset/lighten the rear end, which makes it rotate quicker. Most cars have it fairly dialled out in the suspension tuning (and ESC). The Pug GTi's do it pretty easily but its gradual and you can feel what the car is doing.

To be fair, when you know these chassis, it really isn't. The back end likes to play a lot on those, but it's really progressive and manageable.
@MRevilsnowman232 жыл бұрын
@@HugoAmasing yea, I just got a 306 1.6 sport. Not the fastest car, but man does it handle corners like a champ. This is the first car I havew driven that feels like it's on rails and won't go anywhere you don't want it to go. With that being said i did feel the rear end slip a bit a few times, but that was when changing from a right corner to a left fast or vice versa. All in all an amazing car, idk if I'll ever sell it.

Solid driving. It's fun watching someone who knows all the right inputs when manipulating a car. I can feel the road from your driving, haha, and it makes me all tingly. For the folks watching and you don't know why he's applying the inputs he does at various times, you've got some learning to do. I'm also glad you didn't bust your front left strut at 2:47. I'm not exactly sure what happened, but a metallic bang is generally disconcerting. Maybe it was nothing, hard to tell from the video.

All the sound deadening has been removed, including from the underside off the roof, and we think that noise is the roof skin flexing / popping in one direction as the car hits the compression.
