Cambewarra Lightning 8 Nov 2023

Some powerful lightning strikes from a garden variety storm. It's a shame the one with multiple lightning strikes was so badly affected by rolling shutter, it would have been one of my best ever captures otherwise.
There was a better looking storm (judging by radar) the following day, but I was still at work so missed it - had to suffer through about 30 mins of very frequent thunder.

yeah pretty much ideal temp/dew point combo for high based storms without being too dry for a good updraft.

Managed some more at midnight last night near nowra on my way home from a Cooma chase with Michael Keene (saved us from pretty much a bust).

@@stormsandfishing5448 I saw that line come up the back of the ranges west of Canberra. Looked really good, one of those Murrumbateman specials, perhaps however it is a spot that teh radra over estimates as its freaky hw many black cores you get there.

Well done Andrew, glad you've got a few bolts in front of the camera. There was alot of activity up on the Dorrigo plateau yesterday arvo that we could see the edge of from Coffs.

Thanks, were you home to record the storm yesterday (9th nov)? I imagine there was plenty of lightning throughout Sydney - but like I was still at work you might have been at school?
