We had a fantastic day!! Homemade Noodles!! Handmade Dumplings and the BKK Market!!!
BKK Market in Phnom Penh's, Boeng Keng Kang area, is one of the most popular markets in the city. This local market is known for its wide variety of products ranging from clothes, accessories, shoes, household items, and fresh produce. The market is visited daily by locals and tourists alike, who are drawn to its vibrant atmosphere and affordable prices.
One of the reasons why BKK Market is highly sought after is because of its location. It is situated in the heart of Phnom Penh's popular Boeng Keng Kang area, which is known for its trendy cafes, restaurants, and boutiques. The area is a favorite among expats and local alike!
BKK Market is also known for its diverse range of products. Here, you can find amazing traditional street food, fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, and seafood, that are locally sourced and sold at a reasonable price. The market is also a great place to purchase souvenirs and gifts as there are many stalls that sell handmade crafts and jewelry.
Visitors to BKK Market will also appreciate the opportunity to bargain. Prices are generally marked up, but you can bargain with vendors for a lower price that is fair for all. This makes the market a great place to find a bargain and to get the best deals on your purchases.
David's Noodle Restaurant. A Must-Visit Place in Phnom Penh!!!!
Order they handmade noodles and you can watch them being made in front of your eyes!!!
If you are a food lover and looking for a unique dining experience, head over to David's Noodle Restaurant in Phnom Penh. This popular restaurant is known for its delicious noodles and authentic Cambodian cuisine. It is located in the heart of the city and has become a go-to spot for both locals and tourists.
The restaurant is named after its founder, David, who has been cooking Cambodian cuisine for over 20 years. His passion for food is evident in the quality of the dishes he serves. David's Noodle Restaurant prides itself on using only fresh and locally sourced ingredients, ensuring that every dish is full of flavor.
One of the most popular dishes at the restaurant is their signature soup noodle called "Kuy Teav." This dish comes with a bowl of delicious broth, rice noodles, and various toppings like pork, beef, shrimp, and fish balls. The combination of the broth's rich flavor and the fresh, handmade, chewy noodles and homemade dumplings makes it a perfect comfort food option in Cambodia.
Apart from Kuy Teav, the restaurant offers various other noodle dishes, such as stir-fried handmade noodles and dry noodles. They also serve a range of traditional Cambodian dishes like Amok, a dish made with steamed fish and coconut milk, and Lok Lak, a stir-fry dish with beef and vegetables.
David's Noodle Restaurant has a casual and cozy atmosphere, perfect for a lunch or a leisurely dinner with friends or family. The friendly and attentive staff welcomes guests and ensures that everyone has an enjoyable dining experience.

They do have their own name but they called Banh Bancheve is a Cambodian dish that was influenced by Vietnam during the French colonial era, when France annexed the southern part of Cambodia’s territory to Vietnam. Cambodia adopted and used many Vietnamese words because of the large number of Vietnamese immigrants who came to Cambodia. After the civil war, most of the business owners were Chinese and Vietnamese who opened small stalls selling those foods, while Cambodians remained in the fields farming.

@@wish491 To agree or disagree , just an opinions ... the best way to find out is to travel to North Vietnam to see the Authentic foods { origins } for example the word that you have mention that we Khmer used is a loan word from Vietnamese is incorrect ..for example Bancheve or Banchok ,so Khmer Nom banchok is Vietnamese fusion ? I'm not trying to convince anyone to believe, sometime , each person need to dig deeper into Khmer culture and observed , Its unfair to my culture or country to vanish from this planet Earth for what my Ancestors had created ....FyI ....Khmer history might be vanish , but we are not all dead , I have study history and Languages for many years and I chose not to argued, now back to the French language , is it true that Khmer words influence by French {not} Khmer has 25+8= 33 consonants /23{26} vowels and 12 Independence vowels but when you look at French and English , A --Z=26 --5=21 left =A,E,I,O,U sometime Y, no need to add Y as sometime, Y already inter sound the I and the E, add the S as plural =delusion, Grammars =Illusion my friend and Now back to the vowels ,The western managed to squeezed the 23+12= into 5... to end this debating ,those 5 vowels can't escaped from Khmer name .....just for you to see....H is an I, I is an H in old English writing ,....E,F,G,H,I..I is after H..khmer/khamer/khemer/khimer/khomer, Khumer and Khymer { more than meets the eyes for an average language speaker ... The streets food look dirty at the beginning of the clip, or may be it is just the rubbish under the table. Then as you walked further in, this market in panompae is unfortunately not the cleanest ones we have seen.
