great show, this area sure looks a lot like parts of Cuba, what with the abandoned hotels and constuction of others being walked away from, plus high prices in US $ with little value, but I really enjoy your walk throughs

Hi Richy. Glad you found something that you really liked in the Country. Yes, there are plenty of snakes, so I am glad you got through ok 👍 Those street markets looked like a mobile 7-11 but I don't get how they all sell the same stuff, right next to each other, and seemingly no customers?

I did mate thank you, Kampot was great and also Kep is a beautiful place too. Everywhere has good and bad but the south has being the highlight. Three massively disappointing things that sadly will draw people away from Cambodia. 1/ The rubbish, a bin can be 10 metres away yet it seems a habit that they throw it over the shoulder rather than do the right thing. 2/ Burning Plastic is huge in the rural areas and in the cities to be honest, they are slowly killing themselves and all around them. 3/ Dual pricing, there are no prices on no street food whatsoever. i went to eat somewhere last night and managed to get a menu in Cambodian for the 1st time. the meal i got was 3000r i translated it. they charged me 3 times that price and were not happy that i got the menu. These are the things that will definitely stop people returning and recommending the country. They need to take note, if not Cambodia will never reach their potential. I will come back because i have friends here but many many people will not unfortunately.

@@ParkinsonRaw that's such a shame to hear, hey. I can see that in your videos too, and probably why they don't have such a roaring tourism and all those abandoned buildings? I get that a local can usually get things for less, and I know in the Philippines I always had people that I worked with there telling me to come back and visit and they would book my holiday to get local prices. The burning of the plastic and rubbish is so dissapointing. I am really glad to see your unbiased and raw vlogs to know this. Thanks for taking the time and the time to reply mate! So appreciated. Onwards and upwards!

The golden statue's at the beginning, if they have wings, usually angels of some kind and the black dildo was sitting on a shiva lingam stone, which is predominantly hindu culture and a fertility symbol, the Cambodian religion adopted a mixed relationship with hindu, Buddhist and other cultures, the shiva lingam usual face north east.

People breathing in the likes of plastic gain tuberculosis then the start coughing which infects everybody around them. That’s why it’s extremely hazardous, in my experience. I could be wrong but that’s what I’ve been taught being a builder all my life. Burning plastic is a slow killer

That was a truly awfull video richy, you won't be getting any job offers from the cambodian tourist authority, lol, those hotels looked like something out of a horror film, did you see the film "saw", i cant recolect one thing in that video that i liked, it stinks of chinese developments to me but all they have done is ruin it, that 1st set of massive buildings i thought could have been a hospital but corridors way to narrow ,got to have been workers accommodation blocks, then the other place with all the glass partitions in it must have been offices, and that massive hanger would have been a factory of some sort, i wonder how much they wanted for those new builds, and who the f,k would pay big money to stay in those hotels ?,. ive been watching paddy doyle videos on laos and he's changed my mind on it, but i'm going to see what picture he paints of cambodia and view his videos , i hope you show us cambodias beach front around kampot before you leave,?. ffs beirut looks a better option than this hell hole, thanks for taking one for the team richy, cheers ,.
