This series is one of the best tutorials I've seen yet. It's so easy to absorb and he goes so much farther than a lot of the others. When an expert has decades of experience there's loads of stuff that just "goes without saying". This guy says it. So helpful.

I could watch these tutorials all day. I'm just getting started in the world of pinstriping and it's crazy difficult but it's so fun and relaxing. These videos have really helped break it down into more approachable pieces and figure out the tips and tricks of the trade. Thanks for doing these!

Hey, you're welcome Maisy, glad to hear it's helping somebody! There will be more coming for sure in near future!

Glad your enjoying pinstriping it's supposed to be fun and there really is no wrong way it's ART. Like he said if someone wants a print out then get a print out. There's nothing like hand done even if the line is not perfect that's how you can tell hand painted. Before computer's that's how everything was done by hand.

We take the internet for granted these days, but this is valuable experience, built over years of practice and research, being given away for free. This sot of tuition would not be free and so easily accessible without the 'net! I enjoyed watching you work, and I am digging the background riffs as well. All the best to you and Cheyenne, Glenn aka Bandit 12 (messed up guy at Beaulieu 2015 if you remember!) What you and Del are creating is going to be...immense!

oh yeah this is fascinating thanks again Mackie and say Hi to Giraffey!! ✔
@MackieBass7 жыл бұрын
Mr Giraffey? Is that his name now? ok, I will pass on your message. He doesn't have internet connection you see... Well, he did, but was cut off as he wasn't paying the bills. He was addicted to crystal meth for a while and spent all his money on drugs. He's better now.
@springy-21127 жыл бұрын
MackieBass yes it was a bad time for him brought on by his smaller than average stature often causing us humans to mistake him for an Okapi...albeit not a problem being mistaken for Okapi as they get on very well sharing mainly the same genes the constant reminders gave him a short term Napoleon complex resulting in addiction..luckily with help and support and his new love of biking he's back on form. We have nothing to fear but fear itself !! oh and Scorpions of course..🦂👀
@MackieBass7 жыл бұрын
So you know the guy too? Nice, he'll be well happy to hear from you! Yes, Scorpions are from Germany, but I always found them more enjoyable than frightening... Anyhow, thanks for watching mate. Much appreciated!!!

I love these videos and I thank you for your expertise. I noticed that you have problems with your symmetry when you first start. Why is that?
@MackieBass4 жыл бұрын
I'm a human, not a compter generated sticker...mistakes and imperfections happen. It's part of it, you can get it right, near enough perfect. I need more practice, simple as that,

Whats the best way to get rid of a small mistake? Example...Running a line too far and not being able to build it in or hide it in the design?
@MackieBass7 жыл бұрын
Gently wipe it off with white some spirit if possible. With some practice you soon won't be having these issues.

Can the drying time be speed up with lamps like on body shops ?
@MackieBass7 жыл бұрын
Claudio J Tracchia probably yes. also heairdryer or heat gun would help. but be careful with it, as too much heat can ruin your work.
@ciudadgilera7 жыл бұрын
Thanks Mackie Bass, yes have to be moderated "where's that damn torch of my"
@HCPairbrush7 жыл бұрын
You can add One-Shot hardener, Japan Dryer, or I think Van Dago sells an accelerator. I wouldn't use heat for One-Shot. Urethane striping paints dry very quickly and flow pretty well, but you really need good ventilation (and preferably a respirator) with those.

@christophermoody506 жыл бұрын
Thanks for replying! Now I really love you. These are the best tutorials I've come across. Most just show someone laying down a design. These are filled with great information. I tried pin stripping before but it was just a mess - from watching your vids I think it was a combination of trying to pinstripe on glass (I've been doing brush lettering recently on paper) and not getting the importance of palleting, or not knowing how to palate the brush right. I'll break the sword out again and have another bash.

Christopher Moody check my recent videos...flag is gone brother. And yes, thanks for kind words. I'm doing my best... any suggestions just shoot!
