Part 2 of 3, this video digs into the techniques of pin striping with Rick applying his skills to the guitar of famed rocker, James Otto!

LINK TO BUY PINSTRIPING BRUSHES: www.eastwood.co...
Pinstriping brushes are uniquely designed to allow you to pull a smooth, consistent line for a long duration, without having to stop for more paint. On top of that they use special bristles and ferrules to insure the bristles stay with the brush, not in your work. The handles are shaped for a better grip and to allow tighter curves and corners, too. So stop beating your head against the wall, trying to stripe with the wrong brush, and order the correct ones from Eastwood.
Besides pro quality brushes from Mack and Kafka, we also carry the Beugler Pinstriper tool. This is the same tool used in professional body shops and the OEM factories to lay down perfect parallel stripes the entire length of the car. Eastwood also carries complete kits with paints, brushes and how to DVD to get you started off right.

Could not help notice the paint spots on the side of the guitar,... bugging me a lot,... I just wanted to clean it up,... I was talking to the screen,... "Clean it up Rick!"

Just a bunch of arcs on the guitar body. Paletting between your thumb and finger is BS.

I just recently got interested in pin striping and thot I would give it a shot especially since I have a 38 chevy and a 41 chevy wanted to change them up a bit but my biggest concern was that I am left handed and right at the begging of part1 Mr Harrison mentioned he’s left handed it was probably even more motivation for me to start for sure!! 👌👍

I truly enjoy this video for two reason it brought back memories when back in the early 70's i met Rick Harris mentor Shakey Jake in Tulsa and talk to me something about your oven I like it mainly because it doesn't take up a lot of garage space room being taller than wider. I want to build one so I can have a good reason to buy Eastwood DIY powder coating system.

@Daniel-tj6mc
@Daniel-tj6mc 8 жыл бұрын
+MrNADEROUSY kinda late but its the school of hard knocks. you learn as you go and you learn from mistakes. they are talking about there era. besides that buy a stripping kit some blank plates and practice. i use a old glass table and taped patterns under the glass and stipe on that then clean off with paint thinner. practice makes perfecto. i dont think there is a school out there that teaches pinstriping. Maby some local automotive repair classes
