Camden Fort Meagher - Gorilla Explores

I took a spin out to Fort Camden in Crosshaven, Cork, Ireland, Earth. It's being restored by volunteers, and is run by volunteers and quite frankly they're putting OPW to shame in certain aspects. It's so well put together and makes a really nice trip up for the views alone. The history of the Fort is really cool and displayed excellently throughout and the Volunteer staff are super friendly!
They even minded my motorbike Helmet for me while I was strolling about.
A well worthwhile explore. Look up opening days on the website below as they're not open all year round. Dutch Royals were visiting just after I left also, so.....it's worthy of royalty!

Well done, a great video. The last downward path you walked leads you to the lower gun emplacements, which is easier to access by going down the 200 steps of the 'Bright Tunnel' Remember you did not continue up the hill to look over the mouth of Cork Harbour which is the best view in the world. Yes, i love historical stuff and documentaries so much! I even do this thing called Geocaching for time to time, its like a world wide Scavenger hunt, you go around looking for hidden "caches" but i alot of them are at parks and historical sites. I agree with you, that episode of Doctor Who ruined angel statues for me too!

@@TheGorillaBiker I'm sure there is, they are hid by other Geocachers. You can get the app off the Play store and It's free also. But you only get access to the basic caches, of course there's premium either monthly or yearly in yalls currency. I've had fun doing it, some interesting hides.

I enjoyed this...it's given me some inspiration to hit a few of the lesser known historical sites my Island. I'm still getting used to vlogging in public and I always go quiet when someone comes too close...but, in this technically social age people don't seem to really care, but as you say it's respectful to try and not disturb too many people....... Oh...and the "Tiny Irish Tank"...It's a Scorpion, believe it or not I'm a qualified driver, gunner and commander on those nimble little things. 😂I much preferred their bigger brothers though.... Thanks for sharing and I'm looking forward to seeing whats next.

No not Local.I now live near Youghal.As you went into Crosshaven you passed Drake's Pool.Interesting little spot next time you are down that way.Also the first road you took in Crosser.comes to an End but is a great walking area which would bring you up to Camden by foot.Nice walk.

You may be right there. Probably just the cheapest ones they could find. I genuinely was scared of turning my back on them and that they might come for me weeping angels style 😂😂
